Joe & Joe Weather Show Podcast LIVE 7:35PM 9/8/2024. A shot of very cool air has moved into the Eastern US but this is going to be going out rather quickly and replaced by late summer conditions for this week. Liitle to no rain is forecast for much of the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic states for the next 7 days. The late summer heat in the Western US is abating rather quickly over the next couple of days. Heavy rains are forecast for the Central Gulf States to the Texas coast and this is going to be enhanced by a potential tropical system developing this week.

Weather in 5, 9/9/2024 A new tropical storm is forming in the Western Gulf of Mexico and conditions are favorable for this system to strengthen to a hurricane Tuesday. Tropical Storm Warnings & Hurricane Watches will likely go up for parts of the Western and Central Gulf Coast later today. In the Northeast, Midwest, Ohio Valley and Mid Atlantic as well as parts of the Southeast US, nice dry weather with warmer temperatures continues all week. We have minor severe weather risk in Western and Central NY today for isolated severe thunderstorms as an upper trough moves east across NY and New England.

Weather in 5, 9/4/2024 Sunshine dry and cool conditions continue today in much of the Eastern US with strong high pressure moving offshore. Along the Gulf Coast from Florida to Texas we will conitnue to see showery rains and heavy downpours. Flash flood watches are posted from Southern Louisiana to the Coastal Bend of Texas. In the Western US it is all about late summer heat from Arizona to Southern California northward to Oregon and Washington. The tropicsl remain quiet.

Weather in 5 9/3/2024 It is a quiet day across much of the US with cool dry conditions in the Great Lakes, Northeast, Ohio Valley and Middle Atlantic. Showers and thunderstorms today will be along the Gulf Coast and parts of the Northwest US. Hot weather is in the Southwest US with excessive heat and heat advisories. The tropics remain mostly silent.

Below normal temperatures and little in way of rain is forecast for much of the week. Showers and thunderstorms for now cover parts of Florida and the Gulf Coast to Texas. The next weather front will move east Friday and bring rain to much of the Eastern US over the weekend.

Weather in 5, 9/2/2024 September weather is here across much of the Plains, Great Lakes, Ohio Valley & Northeast for most of this week. Sunshine, low humidity & cool temperatures dominate the weather pattern. Showery weather with thunderstorms and isolated heavy downpours are forecast from the US Southeast coast to Florida and west along the Gulf Coast into Coastal Texas. The tropics remain unusually quiet with 3 weak weather systems that are being indicating by the National Hurricane Center. None of them are forecast to develop in the next several days.

A cold front from the Great Lakes to the Northeast is sinking southward and some showers, thunderstorms, and severe weather lie ahead of the front. Hot humid conditions continue across the south with an increasing chance for thunderstorms late week and into the weekend. In the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic we will see lower temperatures over the next couple of days with an onshore flow developing. We will look ahead to the Labor Day holiday weekend.
