Joe & Joe Weather Show Podcast LIVE 7:35PM 8/25/2024. The week ahead will be different than last week. Warm humid conditions will dominate the Northeast and Mid Atlantic states and it will be hot across the South. Monday we see severe weather risk from the Midwest and Ohio Valley to the Northeast and Mid Atlantic. The Atlantic tropics remain quiet but Hurricane Hone is passing south of the Hawaiian Islands and moving westward. Heavy rain and gusty winds are occurring over some of the islands with rough ocean surf.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Podcast LIVE 7:35PM 8/19/2024. Now that Hurricane Ernesto has moved far enough to the east, passing south of Newfoundland, weather systems are moving again. Showers and thunderstorms along the East Coast will end as a cold front heads offshore. This allows a large Canadian high pressure area to build over the eastern half of the US for the rest of the week. This will bring September like weather to this area with low humidity and little to no rain. The exception will be in New England and Upstate NY where a cold upper trough will produce scattered showers inland Tuesday and again Wednesday. Temperatures will be below average for much of the Eastern US all week long.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Podcast LIVE 7:35PM 8/18/2024. Hurricane Ernesto is heading away from Bermuda and will pass just south of Newfoundland Monday. A cold front nearing the East Coast & the Deep South is producing showers, thunderstorms, severe weather & flash flooding from New York & Southern New England to the Southeast and the Deep South. Hot summer weather continues in the Western Gulf States, Lower Mississippi Valley & Southern Plains. September weather is heading into the Eastern US this week arriving in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic States Tuesday and lasting all week long.

Weather in 5, 8/18/2024 Ernesto is well offshore and holding up an approaching cold front in the Eastern US. Showers thunderstorms severe weather and flash flooding are likely in some areas. Hot weather continues in parts of the Deep South west into the Southern Plains. Monday the cold front will bring one last round of downpours and thunderstorms. A large dry high pressure area from Canada brings September weather to much of the Eastern US east of the Mississippi River and down to the Deep South beginning Tuesday and lasting for much of this week.

Dangerous waves and rip currents likely up and down the East Coast this weekend. We have nice weather for more more day in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic states before we deal with showery rains and thunderstorms over the weekend. Severe weather risks Middle Mississippi & Missouri River Valleys tonight shifting into the Ohio Valley Friday.

Weather in 5, 8/15/2024 Hurricane Ernesto is heading for Bermuda arriving later Friday night/early Saturday morning. From there Ernesto will move north and eventually northeast, south of Nova Scotia and close to Eastern Newfoundland. Look for rough surf conditions and dangerous rip currents along Northeast and Mid Atlantic beaches. Severe weather today is possible from the Northern Plains to the Middle Mississippi and parts of the Ohio Valley. Also isolated severe thunderstorms are possible in New England late this afternoon and evening.

Bermuda lies in the the path and there is achance Ernesto could head toward Atlantic Canada early next week. Meanwhile mostly nice weather continues in the Northeast and Mdi Atlantic west into the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley.

The Joe & Joe Weather Show is back this Tuesday as low humidity and a mostly dry pattern continues in the Northeast & Northern Mid Atlantic states all week. We will probably see an approching cold front and showers returrning at some point over the weekend. Much of the weather in the Eastern US is quiet at least through midweek. A new tropical storm will likely be on the map Tuesday as this cyclone to be called Ernesto heads for the Leeward Islands and possibly the Virgin Island and Puerto Rick before turning northward into the Atlantic.
