Joe & Joe Weather Show Podcast LIVE 7:35PM 12/31/2023 The year comes to an end tonight and a new year begins Monday. 2023 was an unusual year in so many ways but the Northeast and Mid Atlantic start the year relatively quiet with no weather systems to deal with. We will look ahead to the first week of 2024 and also explore the long range which keeps hinting at a pattern change but never seems to make much progress.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Podcast LIVE 7:35PM 12/28/2023 After another round of heavy rain for the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic, we will only see slow improvement in weather conditions until the weekend. Elsewhere around the US we have just weak systems moving across the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys producing some scattered rain and snow showers. Another round of heavy rain is heading for California. No major storms are in the cards through the weekend with most of the country seeing a quiet New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Podcast LIVE 7:35PM 12/27/2023 Low pressure in the upper atmosphere is steering a subtropical jet up the East Coast bringing springlike conditons and heavy rain overnight. This system will be slow to move and that will mean on and off rain is possible through Friday. Weather should improve slowly over the week as the new year arrives. Much of the US is going to see quiet weather over the next several days. There could be a little snow in the Central Appalachians late Thursday into Friday. Otherwise we don't see any snow in the forecast for much of the US right through the weekend.

Joe & Joe Weather Show LIVE 7:35PM 12/20/2023 Joe Rao will be doing a presentation on the Winter Solstice, and Meteorologist Bill Goodman from NWS Upton NY will join us as well. A quiet and calm weather pattern has taken hold in the Eastern US with no weather issues probably through Christmas. Eventually across the Western and Central Gulf States, to the Mississippi Valley and Southern Plains, rain will probably develop at some point over the weekend. A storm system off the coast of California is bringing waves of rain inland to the state. We will look at the rest of the week as well as the weathter through Christmas and the long range. This is the last Joe & Joe Weather Show as we take a break for Christmas. We will be back Tuesday December 26, 2023

Joe & Joe Weather Show LIVE 7:35PM 12/18/2023 A major storm is moving into Southeastern Canada and weather conditions will improve overnight and Tuesday over much of the Eastern US. Snow tonight and Tuesday will fall from Western NY south to the Central Appalachians. In the Western US a series of storms will move inland into California bringing heavy rains there. Much of the weather in the Eastern US will be on the quiet side as we head toward Christmas.

Strong gusty winds will continue ovenright into Wednesday in the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic. Very cold weather is over the South with freeze warnings up again for tonight.
