Joe & Joe Weather Show LIVE  7:30PM A large storm in the Southwest US is producing widespread winter weather across the Southwest with numerous Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories. They extend west into Southern California. This storm will be heading northeastward over the next few days. Severe weather will occur across the South over the next 3 days as the storm heads toward the Ohio Valley and eventually the Mid Atlantic and Northeast by Friday. Heavy rains will be moving into the Ohio and Tennessee Valley. The Joe & Joe Weather Show is LIVE  12pm Hurricane Ian Category 4 155 mph winds is making landfall near Port Charlotte Harbor & Punta Gorda. Live coverage as the eye of Ian nears the coast. We will look at what to expect across Florida.The risk for a second landfall in the Southeast US is growing and we will look at that possiblity. Also we will examine whether the rains from Ian move up the coast for the weekend.

The Joe & Joe Weather Show is LIVE  7:30pm Hurricane Ian is strengthening rapidly and moving through the Northwest Carribean. Hurricane Warnings Cayman Islands & Western Cuba. It is headed for the Eastern Gulf of Mexico with Hurricane and Tropical Storm Warnings up for parts of the Florida west coast.   In the Northeast Mid Atlantic and Southeast much of this week will be dry as high pressure builds over the Great Lakes sending cool and very dry air south and east. We have a look at Hurricane Ian's forecast outlook, the week ahead and the long range.

The Joe & Joe Weather Show is LIVE  7:30pm Major Hurricane Fiona 130 mph winds, category 4 hurricane is nearing Nova Scotia tonight and a landfall is expected over Eastern Nova Scotial Saturday morning. Hurricane warnings are posted for much of Atlantic Canada including Eastern Nova Scotia and western and southern Newfoundland as well as New Brunswick and surrounding islands.   A new tropical depresion in the East Central Caribbean will likely become a tropical storm tonight or Saturday. It is heading west northwestward and it is expected to turn to the northwest over the weekend. The risks for a close pass to Jamaica could put the island in the path of very heavy rainfall. This system is forecast to move into the Eastern Gulf of Mexico next week and the risks for the west coast of Florida are now on the table.  Elsewhere the weather has turned to Autumn in the Eastern US as a very cool Canadian air mass is moving eastward with cool temperatures from Maine to Georgia along with dry air and sunshine. Another cold front will bring showers and some thunderstorms later Sunday followed by another cool air mass for next week. We will be looking at all of this including some longer range perspective regarding the cool weather pattern and the potential for the new tropical system.

The Joe & Joe Weather Show is LIVE  7:30pm Major Hurricane Fiona 130 mph winds, category 4 hurricane is nearing Bermuda tonight. The core of the hurricane will pass just to the northwest of Bermda tonight. Hurricane Watches posted for Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and much of Atlantic Canada as Fiona heads to Eastern Nova Scotia Friday night into Saturday morning.   A cold front is moving through the the Northeast is passing offshore with very cool Autumn air behind the front. That will move into the East Friday and Saturday with dry weather and below average temperatures.  A strong tropical wave is appoaching the Eastern Caribbean. Hurricane Watch and Tropical Storm Warnings are up for the island. Fiona will pass close to Bermuda Thursday night and then head for Eastern Nova Scotia and impact the weather in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland Friday night and Saturday.  A cold front is moving through the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley producing showers and thunderstorms. We will see those showers and thunderstorms move through the Northeast and Middle Atlantic States Early Thursday followed by a very cool air mass for Friday into Saturday, coinciding with the arrival of Autumn.  A strong tropical wave is appoaching the Eastern Caribbean. The Joe & Joe Weather Show is LIVE  7:30pm Major Hurricane Fiona continues to rake the Southeast Bahamas with 115 mph winds. It will strengthen further and toward Bermuda where a close pass is anticipated. Afterwards Fiona will turn northward and threaten and risks to Nova Scotia & Newfoundland continue to rise. Elsewhere we have a mostly nice day from the Plains to the East. Some showers and thunderstorms moving through the Great Lakes and Lower Ohio Valley.  A cold front will bring much cooler air to the East at the end of the week. We have also a tropical depression in the Central Atlantic & a strong tropical wave east of the Windward Islands. Both systems could become Tropical Storms in the next few days. We have the outlook for all three tropical systems as well as the weekend and long range outlook.
