Winter Storm Warnings from Texas to Southern Illinois this evening and also in the Southwest US. The east enjoyed a nice springlike day with temperatures in the 60s and 70s. This next system should be the last for awhile as the pattern for the East relaxes a bit. We will look at the weekend and the long range.

The Joe & Joe Weather Show is LIVE 7:30PM A busy weather pattern with 3 storm systems over the next 7 days. Today we have winter storm warnings from the Plains to the Western Great Lakes and also in the Rockies for up to a foot or more of snow. Flash Flood Watches up from the Middle Mississippi Valley to the Ohio Valley and northeast into parts of Western NY. Severe weather risks in the Southern Plains today and in the Middle Mississipi and Ohio Valley Tuesday. Rain moves into the Eastern US Tuesday and Tuesday night. Colder air returns Thursday setting up another storm bringing snow ice and rain to the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic. Another storm system could be in the cards for the Northeast and Mid Atlantic states late in the weeke nd. We will also take a look at the long range which ahs some unusual things going on in the broad pattern across North America.

The next storm system will head from the Plains to the Great Lakes and East Tuesday with snow ice and rain north and warmre rain to the south. Colder air will spread across Canada and then bleed southward into the east ahead of another storm system late this week. This will also produce snow ice and rain over a wide area from the Ohio Valley to the Northeast and Mid Atlantic.

The Joe & Joe Weather Show is LIVE 7:30PM A developing storm in the Plains will head to the Upper Ohio Valley and then the Northeast tonight into early Friday morning. Winter Storm Warnings are up from Oklahoma to Southern Michigan for heavy snow and ice. Heavy rain will fall to the south of that from the Lower and Middle Mississippi Valley east to the Appalachians and into the Northeast. Severe Weather will move out of the Southern Plains and across the Deep South Thursday and to the Southeast coast early Friday. Strong winds are likely for the Coastal Northeast with High Wind Watches up. We also have Wind Advisories in the Ohio Valley and the South as the storm and cold front approach and move through.

Otherwise we have rain down to the Middle Atlantic states. Showers and a few thunderstorms along the Gulf Coast and Florida and not much else as the weather ahead looks quiet. No major storms for the work week ahead. We will look at the long range to see where the pattern is going in the coming weeks.

This complex storm system and cold front will be shifting eastward and into the the Northeast Thursday night and Friday.

This time it is St Louis, Chicago & Detroit that will see heavy snow. Some places in the the Winter Storm Warning area will see a foot or more. Areas on the southern flank of the Winter Storm Warning area will see significant icing along with some accumulating snow. In the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states the weather will be quiet into Thursday. Winter storm watches extrend from Western Pensnylvania to Northern Vermont. Colder air from Canada will be draining southward Thursday night and Friday setting up areas closer to the coast to freezing rain and icing risks.

The Joe & Joe Weather Show is LIVE 10:30m A major winter storm is  moving through the Northeast with heavy snow , blizzard conditions, and very cold temperatures. In fact the storm has pulled down cold air as far south as Southern Florida. Snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet and winds gusting past 50 mph continue through this afternoon and evening. The storm moves out tonight with bitter cold air in the East. Slowly improving weather conditions Sunday. We look at the week ahead and the long range.
