Wet weather continues in the Pacific Northwest. Frosts and freezes tonight from Arkansas east to North Carolina and Virginia. We have a look ahead to the weekend and the long range.

Frosts and freezes will be front and center this week east of the Mississippi. Most of the nation is experiencing quiet weather today. We could see the first late effect snows around the Great Lakes this week. Also later this week rain will moving across the south and head for the Southeast US coast.

Joe & Joe Weather Show  Sunday October 31,  2021   This Halloween is actually seeing some rather quiet weather conditions across much of the US. Except for Northern New England and some areas around the Great Lakes where some rain or showers will occur, much of the US will be dry. Rain arrives along the West Coast Monday as another storm system nears. In the Eastern US a couple of weak cold fronts will move through this week taking temperatuers below average starting Tuesday and lasting for the rest of the week. We will look at he weekend and long range as we head into the month of November.

Joe & Joe Weather Show  Thursday October 28,  2021   Yesterday's coastal storm moved offshore and the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic states enjoyed a nice day for a change. Severe weather is moving across the Carolinas south to Florida as a cold front passes. Low pressure will move into the Central Appalachians and spread rain northward Friday through the Mid Atlantic and into the Northeast Friday night and Saturday. Rain and some heavier downpours cover the Middle and Upper Mississippi Valley as well as the Ohio Valley this evening. The weather in the western half of the US is much better except for the Pacific Northwest where clouds and rain continue.

Joe & Joe Weather Show  Wednesday October 27,  2021   A strong coastal storm off the Mid Atlantic coast is now moving east and weather conditions are improving in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic states. Severe weather risks today from Southeast Texas east to the Florida Panhandle as a new storm moves into the Central Plains. Parts of the Pacific Northwest continue to see heavy rains. The Central Plains storm will bring severe weather risks to the Southeast Thursday and then the system will bring another round of heavy rain to the Mid Atlantic and Northeast Friday into Saturday.

Joe & Joe Weather Show  Tuesday October 26,  2021   A strong storm to the southeast of Cape Cod brought 4 inches of rain or more in some areas from New Jersey to Southern New England. The storm referred to as a nor'easter, is looping back westward bringing more rain from Southeastern New England south to New Jersey. Strong winds of 50 to 60 mph will occur over Southeastern New England to Eastern Long Island. The storm pulls away slowly on Wednesday. Severe weather today in the Southern and Central Plains comes with a relatively high risk of tornadoes. The severe weather risk area shifts to the Central Gulf Coast on Wednesday and to the Southeast US Thursday.

Joe & Joe Weather Show  Monday October 25,  2021   A developing storm off the Southeast US Coast will combine with strong energy moving across the Midwest to produce a nor'easter for the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic states. Heavy rains, flash flooding. severe weather, and in some places along the coast, strong winds. In the west another major storm is moving inland and that will travel across the US this week as it takes a southern track. Severe weather issues in the Middle Atlantic to about NYC this evening and tonight. Severe weather risks spread into the Southern and Central Plains Tuesday and along the Central Gulf Coast Wednesday.

Joe & Joe Weather Show  Sunday October 24,  2021   Severe weather today covers the Middle Mississippi Valley with 10% tornado risk as a slow moving storm heads east across the Lower Lakes. That storm will become a major ocean storm Tuesday and Wednesday bringing rain and some wind to the Northeast and Mid Atlantic. Another strong storm moves into the Western US with heavy rain and flash flooding. In the Northeast and Mid Atlantic a mostly dry Sunday before some areas see some rain overnight. Monday brings severe weather risk from the Northern Mid Atlantic to the Southeast US. We will look at the long range outlook and also look at NOAA's 2021-22 Winter forecast and what it means, as well as what it doesn't mean.

Joe & Joe Weather Show  Tuesday October 19, 2021   Weather conditions remain quiet over much of the US today and Wednesday. In the East it is dry and nice with the exception of Northern New England where we have clouds and some showers. Not much will be happening in the coming days as we have 2 relatively weak cold fronts moving across the Great Lakes and Northeast. The West Coast could see some drought relief with 2 storm systems bringing several to many inches of rain from the northern half of California to Washington state. We look at the long range weather pattern and the tropics are quiet.

Joe & Joe Weather Show  Monday October 18, 2021   Mid October is usually a quiet time across the US weather wise and we are essentially in between summer and winter. In the East it is dry and cool. Most of the weather actions will be across the Northwest US with storms offshore moving east. Also weather fronts will be moving across the northern tier. However we see no major storms for most and no tropcial systems developing this week.
