Joe & Joe Weather Show Thursday October 14, 2021   The East is enjoying some late summer weather into Saturday before a cold front brings a big change. Severe weather risks will be in the Ohio Valley to Western NY and Pa on Friday and then from Northern Virginia to Central New England on Saturday. Behind the front cooler Autumn air moves in Sunday and domiates the first half of next week. Heavy rains from Pamela continue in the Coastal Bend of Texas into tonight. Weather calms down in the West into the weekend. The long range sees blocking taking over next week.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Sunday October 10, 2021   A gloom and doom Sunday will linger into Monday for the Northeast and Mid Atlantic though we are going to see the onshore flow slowly break down. Tuesday through Friday will lead to warmer conditions with soms eunshine and temperatures could make a run to 80 degrees in some areas.  Severe weather is likely over the Southern Plains tonight with a moderate risk of severe weather over parts of Oklahoma and Northeast Texas per the Storm Prediction Center. Low pressure off North Carolina will start moving northeast leavy patches of heavy rain along the coast. We will have a look at the week ahead and the long range as the upper air pattern takes the slow road to changing.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Tuesday October 5, 2021   A stalled front lies across the Mid Atlantic states keeping it cloudy to the north in the Northeast but drier air from Eastern Canada will build southward over the next 2 days. Heavy rains and flash flooding occurred over parts of the south and some more rain or showers are likely Wednesday. Much of the West is quiet except for the Southwest and the Northwest where showers are likely. The tropics are quiet for now and should remain so for the rest of the week.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Sunday October 3, 2021   The first weekend of October is about as tranquil as the weather can get over much of the US. There are no major weather systems, no severe weather outbreaks, no tropical threats of any kind. This is typical of the first part of October where tranquil weather is usually more the rule and the exception. We will look at the long range to see how long this lasts as well as the tropics which look to go on a bit of a short break from non stop activity.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Monday Spetember 27, 2021   Hurricane Sam is not as strong as yesterday but it is still a category 3 hurricane. Sam is forecast to slowly turn northward over the next few days and forecast to pass east of Bermuda. Most of the US enjoying quiet autumn weather with showers confined to Northern New England and the Southwest. A marginal severe weather risk exists Tuesday for parts of the Mid Atlantic states as the next cold front moves southward from Eastern Canada, setting up for a cool but dry second half of the week.

SHOW LESSA slow moving cold front continues to produce a slow moving narrow band of downpours and thunderstorms in parts of the Northeast tonight into Friday with improving weather conditions once the front passes. A beautiful day across the South with sunshine, cool temperatures and lower humidity as the first important cold front has passed. Tropical Storm Sam in the Eastern Atlantic is moving westward and is forecast to become a hurricane Friday and a major hurricane over the weekend. Long range blocking is setting up across North America making for a very confusing weather outlook in the long range and will have a say in the track of Sam.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Monday Spetember 20, 2021   Another nice day in the Northeast while rain and showers fell over the Ohio Valley and Deep South. Severe weatther Upper Mississippi Valley tonight as a cold front pushes slowly eastward. Weather will start to slowly deteriorate in the East over the next few days as humidity rises and rain moves in ahead of a cold front late Wednesday into early Friday. In the tropics we have weak Tropical Storms Peter and Rose and a new disturbance in the tropical Atlantic likely to become a tropical storm late this week. Blocking is being signaled in the long range.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Wednesday Spetember 16, 2021   A calmer day across the Northeast as a stalled front lies along the coast. To the east of it we have a developing low east of the Carolinas that may develop into a tropical depression or a tropical storm however it is forecast to turn northeast and head offshore. This sets up a nice weekend for the last weekend of the summer season. Severe weather in the Northern Plains, quiet in the west. Rain continues across parts of the Deep South.
