Hurricane Warning Southeast Louisiana to the Alabama Mississippi border. A winter storm in the Southern Rockies and Plains is slowly winding down. That storm will pick up Zeta and accelerate it northeastward after landfall setting up heavy rain and noreaster conditions for the Northeast and Mid Atlantic. Colder air could change the rain to snow in areas north and west of the coast. Cold air behind the storm comes in Friday and Saturday.

Weather in 5 Zeta will emerge into the Gulf of Mexico today and become a hurricane. Hurricane Warnings are up for Southeast Louisiana to the Alabama Mississippi Border. Winter Storm Warnings are up from New Mexico to Texas and Ice storm warnings are up for parts of West Texas and Oklahoma as an early winter storm continues there. In the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic it is another day of clouds and fog. Rains from Zeta will move into the Mid Atlantic and Northeast Thursday and there could be some snow in the mix Friday as very cold air for this time of year heads southward.

Joe  & Joe Weather Show Monday October 26 Hurricane Zeta continues to strengthen and the risk for the Central Gulf coast grows larger. Hurricane Watch for Southeast Lousiana including New Orleans. Also the risk for Zeta to bring soakng rains to the Northeast and Mid Atlantic grows for late week and some snow may come into play for parts of the Northeast. Meanwhile a winter snow and ice storm continues in the Southern Rockies and the Southern Plains with winter storm and ice storm warnings posted for most of this area.

Weather in 5 two important weather systems will impact weather in the Eastern US this week. Tropical Storm Zeta in the Northwest Caribbean is strengthening rapidly and heading for a Central Gulf Coast landfall on Wednesday. Zeta will hook up with a major winter storm in the Southwest and Southern Plains and bring heavy rains to the East late this week. This storm is producing one foot plus snows from New Mexico to West Texas with Winter Storm Warnings up there. In the East for the first few days this week not much rain but lots of clouds and little sun will be the primary story into midweek and then Zeta inspired heavy rains for later Thursday into Friday. There might be some snow in the mix on the northern end of this in Upstate NY and Central New England.

Joe  & Joe Weather Show Sunday October 25, 2020 Tropical Storm Zeta has formed in the Northwest Caribbean and this could be another record setter for the Central Gulf Coast midweek. A winter storm continues in parts of the Rockies and Plains, more gloom and doom weather continues in parts of the Eastern US thanks to a stalled frontal boundary. We have the week ahead and the long range which shows potential for heavy rain later this week in the Eastern US.

Weather in 5 on a chilly day in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic states. To the  north in New England it is dry. To the south in the Coastal Mid Atlantic westward we have some rain that is creeping northward. This looks to be a rather unsettled week ahead with a stalled frontal boundary all week. Tropical Storm Zeta could be another named storm to threaten the Gulf Coast  some time midweek. Heavy rains could eventually find there way to the Eastern US late this week.

Weather in 5 Hurricane Epsilon is moving out to sea which allows weather fronts to start moving again. One such front will move through today in the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states with very little weather with it but we will see it turn much cooler for tonight and Sunday. Snow in the Plains to the Pacific Northwest and a new tropcial storm could develop in the Northwest Caribbean. Weather in 5 on another sticky day of weather for the Middle Atlantic to Southern New England but that ends this weekend as a cold front finally comes through and we get a change in air masses. Hurricane Epsilon passing east of Bermuda will move away to the northeast and allow changes in the jet stream across North America. A cooler but mostly dry weekend especially Sunday for the Northeast and Mid Atlantic. Snow from the Pacific northwest into the Plains.

Hurricane Epsilon passing east of Bermuda will eventually accelerate northeast into the open waters of the Atlantic. Snow across the Northern Plains to the Northwestern Great Lakes with Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisoris up. Winter Storm Watches in parts of the Northwest.

Weather in 5 seeing another day that starts out with dense fog and then transitions over to clouds and sun in the coastal Northeast and Mid Atlantic. Showers from Western NY & NW Pa to the Great Lakes. Snow across the Northern Rockies and Plains where Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are posted. Winter Storm Watches extend west into Washington state. We look at the weekend and longer range into next week. Hurricane Epsilon will pass east of Bermuda by about 200 miles and then accelerate northeastward over the open waters of the Atlantic over the weekend.
