Weather in 5 A slow moving cold front continues to produce rain from Southern New England to the Carolinas. Some of that rain has produced extensive flooding in North Carolina. Tropical Storm Eta is moving acorss Northern Florida and is about to exit into the Southwest Atlantic ultimately getting absorbed by the frontal boundary to the north. Chilly air comes in for Friday and into the weekend and even colder air arrives early next week as our warm weather pattern breaks down.

Weather in 5 Hurricane Eta winds 75 mph nearing the Florida west coast with landfall north of Tampa likely Thursday. Heavy rains are spreading up and down the west coast of Florida. Rain is spreading into the Eastern US ahead of a cold front. More storminess in the Northwest. Weekend outlook and the long range into next week as colder air arrives.

Joe  & Joe Weather Show Tropical Storm Eta is moving northward winds 60 mph and tropical storm watches are back up for the Florida West Coast. A cold front is producing severe weather in parts of the Midwest with snow in the Western Lakes into the Northern Plains. Rain is coming into the northwest with snow for the Northern Rockies. The nice weather in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic is coming to an end on Wednesday as rain and a cold front arrive.

Weather in 5 Tropical Storm Eta is meandering in the Southeast Gulf of Mexico and will be there for another day or so as it begins to move northward. Strengthening is possible but for now it is no threat to land. The Northeast and Mid Atlantic are enjoying one last nice day after a flawless stretch of weather. We take a look at the rain coming for Wednesday and Thursday for the East as well as a peak at the weekend.

Joe  & Joe Weather Show Tropical Storm Eta winds of 60 mph is spreading gales and heavy rain across Cuba and to Southern Florida. Eta will be around for the next week and 1 to 2 feet of rain is possible over parts of South Florida with extensive flooding. In the Northeast and Mid Atlantic states are terrific weather continues with warm temperatures and record highs. Weather conditions will begin to deteriorate Tuesday and rain will arrive Wednesday. In the west it is all about cold and snow in the short and long range with rain at the coast as  a deep trough in the west brings in a series of storm systems.

Additional watches may be required Saturday for parts of South Florida and the Florida Keys. In the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states it looks like a great weekend ahead with sunshine and warm temperatures. A winter storm brings rain to the west and heavy snow to parts of the Rockies as well as the Southwest US.

Weather in 5 Eta is getting better organized and should become a tropical storm again later today or tonight as it heads northeast toward Cuba. It is forecast to turn north and then northwest heading toward South Florida Sunday and Monday, probably as a high end tropical storm and a heavy rain producer. There are no issues in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic states this weekend with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures. Rain returns probably next Tuesday night and Wednesday.

In fact most of the US enjoying a rather quiet period of weather except for the Pacific Northwest where rain is moving in. A stronger storm arrives Thursday with heavy rain into California and snow in the Northern Rockies Tropical Storm Eta will weaken a bit more in Central America and then emerge into the Caribbean on Friday, likely strengthening to a tropical storm over the weekend. The risk for heavy rains for Florida are increasing.

Weather in 5 Sunshine dominates the weather across much of the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states and we should see nice dry warm weather through the weekend. Tropical Storm Eta is in Central America and will emerge into the Northwest Caribbean Friday. It should strengthen again into a tropical storm as it heads for Western Cuba & the Florida Straits over the weekend. The risk for heavy rains grows for Florida from Eta later this weekend and into next week.

Weather in 5, We are seeing winds slacken in the Northeast and some sunshine though there clouds in a few places holding temperatures down. Wednesday through Sunday will be rain free through most of the Eastern US. Category 4 Hurricane Eta has moved inland in Nicaragua and will eventually emerge in the Northwest Caribbean Friday. From there the track is uncertain however the new GFS suggest a northward motion altering the dry weather pattern in the Eastern US next week.
