Joe  & Joe Weather Show  Sunday November 29, 2020 We finish off the holiday weekend dry in the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states but a developing storm in the Gulf States will head north up the Appalachians Monday. This will bring a windswept soaking rain to the east of the low track and wet snow, heavy in some areas from Northern Georgia to Ohio Monday into Tuesday. Longer range the weather pattern continues to evolve and change into a stormier one overall as we head into December.

Two strong storms will be impacting the Gulf States and the Eastern US over the next 7 days with rain, severe weather and snow from the Central Appalachians to the Ohio Valley. Long range the pattern is changing across the Northern Hemisphere for December.

Weather in 5 Weather systems are moving along from west to east all week and this weekend. Weather improves later today and it should be dry into Wednesday. We see a chance for showers Thanksgiving Day but a dry Friday. The weekend looks to be split with Sunday the better of the two days. Models diverge on the idea of a storm heading for the Great Lakes early next week.

Weather in 5 The core of the cold air that was over the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states yesterday has moved out to the east and we are warming up into Saturday. An onshore flow will mean clouds and cool conditions for Sunday with perhaps a few showers Sunday night. Next week will be dry and cool Monday and Tuesday with widespread rain arriving Wednesday. It should be out by Thanksgiving morning. No major storms are on the horizon for the next 7 days.

Weather in 5 Colder air is arriving in the Northeast and there might be a few sprinkles or snow showers today as a weak front passes through. Much of the weather across the US is quiet except for the Pacific northwest where a strong storm is moving into Southwestern Canada. Warmer air is coming to the East late week and weekend. Hurricane Iota made landfall in Central America overnight as a borderline category 5 hurricane. We take a look at the long range outlook for Thanksgiving week.

Weather in 5 Last night's severe weather across the Northeast was impressive and is now long gone but the extent of severe weather and warnings was more then we saw in some of the summer outbreaks. Extensive wind damage was reported across the Northeast Sunday. Now weather conditions are improving with a dry week ahead but it will be windy and colder into midweek. Hurricane Iota is now almost a category 5 hurricane as it nears the coast of Honduras for a landfall on Tuesday.

In the Northeast and Norhtern Mid Atlantic states a sharp cold front will strigger thunderstorms and the risk for severe weather as well as strong winds.

Weather in 5 the weekend is underway with sunshine across much of the Northeast and Middle Atlantic with just a few passing clouds. Sunday brings a cold front and showers followed by Colder weather next week. Tropical Storm Iota in the Caribbean will become the second major hurricane in a week to hit Central America.
