Joe  & Joe Weather Show Wednesday October 21, 2020 Warm sticky weather continues in the coastal Northeast & Mid Atlantic while rain continues over parts of the Ohio Valley to Western NY. Snow likely in the Northern Plains to the Northern Rockies. Winter Storm Warnings for parts of Montana east to the Dakotas to Minnesota. Hurricane Epsilon strengthened today as it crawls northwestward. It should pass east of Bermuda this weekend.

Weather in 5 highlights a wash rinse repeat pattern with no major changes. Nights will feature low clouds and fog into the morning hours with some breaks of sun developing as the day wears on. A cold front will finally pass through late Saturday to change things. Weather remains stagnant across the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states mainly because Hurricane Epsilon southeast of Bermuda is holding an upper high in place to the northwest and creating a bottleneck. Snow is likely from the Northern Rockies to the Northern Plains Thursday. No major storms are on the horizon for the Northeast and Mid Atlantic states into next week. Rain from the Ohio Valley to Western PA & Western NY to Northern New England continues on and off over the next few days.

Weather in 5 as we are in a wash rinse repeat pattern for the rest of this week in the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states. Closer to the coast it will be rain free for the most part but waves of low pressure will bring rain from Ohio to Western NY and Northern New England. Temperatures will be warmer than normal for the rest of the week.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Monday October 19, 2020 Tropical Storm Epsilom has developed southeast of Bermuda. It will likely become a hurricane later this week as it heads northwest toward the island. In the US we have a quiet and mild weather pattern setting up for the coastal Northeast all week long with showers to the west from Western NY southwest into the Ohio and Mississippi Valley. Snow across the Northern Plains will bring a wide swath of 2 to 4 inch snows. The snow and mixed precip area extends west into the Northern Rockies. Rainy over Florida thanks to a stalled frontal boundary.

Weather in 5 A new week begins with mild to warm temperatures for the week ahead. No rain is forecast for the coastal plain from Virginia to Southeastern New England all week. A new tropical storm will develop today and it will be named Epsilom. It is southeast of Bermuda and the presence of this system has altered the upper air pattern for this entire week and for the upcoming weekend.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Sunday October 18, 2020 on what is a mostly quiet Sunday across the US. Some showers are occurring across the Great Lakes and in colder air back in the Plains and Northern Rockies it changes over to snow. We have a low southeast of Bermuda that looks to become a subtropical storm over the coming days as it drifts westward. The week ahead looks to be mostly a quiet one for the coastal Northeast and Mid Atlantic states. We examine the long range.

Weather in 5 looking at a quiet nice Sunday in most of the Northeast and Mid Atlantic. Approaching cold fronts this week will stall out to the west thanks to building high pressure offshore. Much of the week ahead will be dry with some days seeing more clouds than sun with highs in the 60s. Snow possible from the Northern Plains to the Northern Rockies. A subtropical or tropcial storm is likely to develop southeast of Bermuda and head westward later this week. Another tropical system could form in the Western Caribbean late this week or next weekend.

Weather in 5 heavy rains from yesterday and last night are now moving through Northern New England. Chilly dry weather has returned with frost tonight over parts of the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic. Sunday through Friday look to be dry with little rain except for parts of Upstate NY and Northern New England. Cold fronts moving east fall apart as they reach the coast. Two tropical systems are likely to develop this week with uncertainty regarding impact if any.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Friday October 16, 2020  Drought denting rains for New England on the order of an inch or two with some locally higher amounts. The rain extends south in to the Northern Mid Atlantic should end early Saturday. A chilly weekend for the Northeast and Mid Atlantic. Snow for the Northern Rockies and eventually into the Plains. The long range poses some interesting possibilIties as the tropics look to rev up once again. 2 tropical storms are possible in the long range.
