Ralph Fiennes, Anya Taylor-Joy & Nicholas Hoult star in Mike Mylod’s 'The Menu' – cooking up a mix of thriller and comedy in suspenseful fashion. The film centres around this lavish restaurant where Fiennes’ Chef Slowik has whipped up some surprises in addition to his elegant food menu. A decent enough story with some top performances, 'The Menu' is certainly worth the watch if you’re a thriller fan who likes a good laugh as well– or in particular a foody!

'Wakanda Forever' is the long-awaited sequel to the brilliant first installment, but one that was surrounded by tragedy. Ryan Coogler and co have done the impossible and created a brilliant sequel with themes of grief and loss, but also has managed to honour Chadwick Boseman’s legacy. Martin McDonagh reunites with Colin Farrell and Brenden Gleeson in his latest release 'The Banshees of Inisherin', bringing us laughs as well as the occasional gut punch throughout. We return to Westeros in this week’s episode to discuss episodes 6-10 of 'House of the Dragon'! The first 5 episodes were solid, and the remaining episodes upped the intensity, bringing us closer to war for these characters. Dwayne Johnson is Black Adam. This film has been one that Johnson has been pushing and determined to release for a number of years, and you can certainly tell it’s a character he cares a lot about. The film has some excellent action sequences and set pieces, and even has a dash of some great comedy within, but more importantly, it has a good story – something not all DC releases have had. One of the more uncomfortable watches of late was sitting through 'Dahmer – Monster' which hit Netflix last month, created by Ryan Murphy & Ian Brennan. The show has caused a stir with critics and audiences – and, understandably, the families of the victims. The show reflects and presents Dahmer’s life, and the monster that he was – brilliantly performed by Evan Peters, but also highlights the systematic racism and homophobia that allowed Dahmer to continue for as long as he did. In 2004, James Wan and Leigh Whannell unleashed the small indie-horror film 'SAW' into cinemas – and boy, did it go down well. Grossing over $100 million at the box office, the film generated sequel after sequel – taking over Halloween and becoming one of the most profitable horror franchises ever. The first film is still my favourite, and one of my all-time favourite releases. From tremendous acting to the twists and turns the script provides, 'SAW' is one film I had to revisit on the pod for Halloween. Full spoiler thoughts in this episode

Directed by the fantastic Michael Giacchino, 'Werewolf by Night' is something fresh and new which is exactly what I have been craving from Marvel. With homages to 1930s horror and aesthetics and packed with some camp, but striking horror, 'Werewolf By Night' is a fantastic watch around the Halloween season.
