Meanwhile…the mother of a young woman brutally raped and murdered by an illegal from El Salvador says no one from the Biden administration every reached out to express their condolences for her loss.

The battle of Trans rights continues in the state of Maine.  This time in the Miss Maine USA Beauty pageant where Bill Belichicks’ 24-year-old girlfriend will be competing against a trans model.

In the SC Legislature…. negotiations between Statehouse leaders seem to have stalled on a broad tort reform package backed by Senate Republicans, but apparently not by the house leadership.  The Post and Courier is reporting this issue is most likely dead for the year.

As investors had desperately hoped he would…. President Donald Trump paused his tariffs against most nations…and Stocks surged to one of their biggest gains since World War II!

After the US Supreme Court ruled earlier in the week that the Trump administration could proceed with deporting illegals using the War Times Act a couple of federal District judges have again stepped in and stopped the deportations.

Thousands of illegal immigrants have started using a new government app to self-deport rather than face forced removal.

The Trump administration posted another win with the US Supreme Court yesterday….this time the court agreed that the administration had the authority to fire the tens of thousands of probationary federal employees and do not have to reinstate them as ordered by a lower court.

In another lower court action… A federal judge has ordered the Associated Press must be restored to the White House press pool after President Donald Trump banned the wire service for refusing to adopt his renaming of the Gulf of Mexico as the “Gulf of America.”

The US Supreme Court took steps yesterday to freeze an order from a lower court that would require the Trump Administration to return an Illegal migrant from an El Salvador prison.

A Texas man who threatened to "open fire" on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents if they came to his neighborhood was charged Monday in federal court.

Warren Buffett's famously decided to sit on a $300B pile of cash last year….and it has paid off – Buffett is the only one of  the 500 richest moguls to not lose money in the latest stock decline.  

In less than a month the SC Legislature will adjourn for the year and there is still no solution for liquor liability insurance for restaurants and bars.  A new group of restaurants owners hopes to create a sense of urgency for SC leaders and encourage them to take action before leaving the state capital fo the year. The financial markets took a beating on Friday and some analyst are predicting today will be a “Black Monday” similar to what we saw in 1987….we have the latest on the Trump imposed tariffs.

Over 1,200 protests across all 50 states took place on Saturday… rallying against President Donald Trump’,  the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE),  tariffs, federal layoffs and immigration reform. 

One  activist at an anti-Trump “Hands Off!” rally proudly declared Saturday, “I am an immigrant, I am undocumented, unafraid, queer and unashamed” — leading a large number of  critics  calling for her to be deported, immediately!!

More wasteful spending has been uncovered by DOGE…this time… Federal workers tasked with taking care of the men and women in the military spent 87,000 hours and $3.3 million taking care of their own union benefits — and taxpayers footed the bill according to the NY Post.
