Space colonization is largely a capitalist perception management op promoted by the likes of Musk and Bezos to strengthen the narrative that it's okay to continue the world-raping global capitalist principle of infinite growth on a finite world because we can escape the catastrophic ecological consequences of that paradigm by fleeing to space.

People believe we can just snip humans out of their ecosystemic context to colonize space for the same reason they believe in rugged individualism: they don't grasp how inseparably interconnected each human is. With our ecosystem, and with our society. Separation is an illusion.

- Tell average Americans on the street about evil things America did, except you tell them it was a country the US government doesn't like.

- Film their reaction.

A recent 60 Minutes interview with Secretary of State Tony Blinken highlights the conspicuous absence of the concept of detente, the easing of hostilities between nations, from mainstream discourse. We are meant to take it as a given that the only option available is to continue increasing aggressions with these two nuclear powers. This is a lie, and it is insane.

Social media was ablaze yesterday over a CIA recruiting video that has to be seen to be believed. It features a Latina CIA officer proudly describing her ascent to her position in one of the most depraved institutions that has ever existed using a jaw-dropping fountain of social justice buzzwords and appeals to Latin American culture while wearing a t-shirt featuring a girl power symbol and the caption "Mija, you are worth it."

Recent statements by the CEO of YouTube highlight the way Silicon Valley tech giants use algorithms to boost mainstream media propaganda and suppress independent content.

"America won’t back away from our commitment to human rights and fundamental freedoms," reads a Wednesday tweet from the presidential Twitter account. "No responsible American president can remain silent when basic human rights are violated."

The tweet, an excerpt from the US president's prepared congressional address, was retweeted on Saturday by Secretary of State Tony Blinken with the caption, "We will always defend human rights at home and abroad."

Like all US secretaries of state, Blinken's public statements overwhelmingly focus on the claim that other nations abuse human rights, and that it is America's duty to defend those rights. Which is very silly, considering the fact that the US government is the single worst human rights abuser on planet Earth. 

And it's not even close.

Many who see what's wrong with our world also hold out hope that there might be some Big Reveal in our future, some leak drop or heroic feat of investigative journalism which rips the veil off the mechanisms of oligarchy and oppression and shocks the world into revolutionary change. They think if there was just some major unprecedented revelation about 9/11, or Covid-19, or the oligarchy, it would snap open people's eyes at long last to the fact that everything they've been taught about the world is a lie.

This will never happen. We know this because if it were going to happen, it would have happened already. If facts and evidence were enough to open people's eyes and change their minds, then consent for the entire world order we are currently living under would have been rescinded as soon as we learned the Iraq invasion was based on a lie. Or as soon as we saw the first pictures of the children in Yemen who are being starved to death with the help of our government. Or any number of shockingly evil atrocities that the world's most powerful people have engineered right out in the open.

The Big Reveal will never happen, because the Big Reveal has already happened.

The Biden administration has finally admitted that the US is indeed providing offensive material support to Saudi Arabia's genocidal assault on Yemen, directly contradicting Biden's February claim that it would no longer be providing offensive support in that war. We are being lied to about yet another US war by yet another US president.
