Etymology. from French boudoir "lady's dressing room," literally, "a place to sulk," from bouder "to sulk." After a happenstance meeting, Josh and Jo tee up boudoir photographer, Brienna, for a fun and intimate conversation on the origin of her business life. Brienna so refreshingly surprised both of us with her story of how signing up for a boudoir photo session transformed the way she saw herself which led to a healing which led to a business. Josh and Jo loved this moment because it was cool, honest, thoughtful and yes, sexy. We're taking bets on which of us is signing up for a session first! Check out Exposed Boudoir Photography and be ready to stand in line to get in because this lady’s rockin’ it!
Last minute pod and caught up in a world of events and emotions, Josh and Jo talk about the new lobster rolls at the Owl, a very cool Blink-182 concert, a whirlwind of election topics, and catching Josh in an unusually low mood which is very much NOT often! Thanks for sticking with us as we navigate through the summer's hottest topics!
In "A Diary of a CEO" podcast, Steven Bartlett discusses how his upbringing shaped his approach to his relationships, dating styles and what he refers to toxic masculinity. As parents to teen and adult males, Josh and Jo discuss how they approached raising their own sons, the difficulties along the way as they fight the social norms and the culture they grew up in. They work hard and challenge themselves to be, see and do better. To them, nothing is more important, heartwarming and heartbreaking than this process.
Folks if there's one thing we truly try to be is to be INDEPENDENT thinkers. To truly be one, and we define being independent as judgment unaffected by society's perspective and thoughts, it takes time, energy, lots of research, reading and self reflection. In his youngeryears, Josh, wished he was wired less hot and didn't spend so much time pursuing "sextracurricular activities," and perhaps, he would be a published author by now. Jo wishes she spent MORE time pursuing such activities so that she isn't such a naive 50 plus year old today. As we look back on our old podcasts, we do recognize that we've stayed somewhat true to our personal goals of trying to be better and our evolution is apparent and continues. For this, I'm quite proud of myself and, my dear friend and accomplice, Josh. We hope we've served some of this purpose to our listenership.
