The Colorado Avalanche showed no rust as they took the ice for the first time in a week against the St. Louis Blues in Game 1 of their second round matchup. The Avs completely dominated for the vast majority of the game, but Blues goalie Jordan Binnington kept the Blues from getting run out of the arena. And when a hockey games goes into OT, anything can happen.

Luckily, it happened for the Avalanche as Josh Manson fired a shot from inside the blue line that found it's way past Binnington and into the net to end game one, 3-2.

Val Nichushkin and Samuel Girard also found pay dirt for Colorado, who fired 54 shots on goal to remain unbeaten in the playoffs.

Now the Avs look to take a 2-0 lead on Thursday and match last years start to the playoffs of six straight. But we don't want a recreation of what happened after that 6th game now do we?
