The 7 types of rest we all need include physical, mental, emotional, social, creative, spiritual and sensory rest. There are different techniques we can use to fulfill rest in our lives like more sleep, naps, deep breathing, relaxation, stretching, music, meditation, silence, offloading emotion baggage, talking to a good listener, going to therapy, catching up with an old friend or conversely taking a break from socializing, reading a book, taking a walk in nature, doing things that give you a sense of purpose or meaning, turning off devices/screens and finding quiet. Consistency and intentionality creates habits in our lives. Whether its waking up early, getting into a fitness routine, finding your quiet or even reading a book - you consistently doing these things create behaviors in your life. Behaviors, addictions, habits, ways of being, mindset, thoughts require us to shift from doing things the way we have always done it. It’s time to try something new, recharge and revitalize our lives.
This year was one of those years that went by so fast. So much transformation has occurred in myself that has been way beyond what my mind and diction can fathom/articulate. Blessings and love has shown itself upon my life. I am proud of myself for honing into my vision and having a greater sense of my, “Why.” I’ve got a handle on seasonal depression, anxiety, dissatisfaction and unfulfillment through therapy and shadow work. This year I traveled a lot (locally, nationally, and internationally), spent time with my family/friends and truly did my soul work. Being more intentional about my finances has put me in a better position than I had been this past year. I have pushed myself beyond the limits to gain clarity and I feel way lighter. The things that have been good for my wellness and well-being: breathwork, massages, pulling oracle cards, journaling, researching, learning myself, meditation, moving my body and going out in nature. Surrounding myself with positive people, protecting my energy and setting boundaries have been really beneficial for my year as well. There is nothing I would change and I have no regrets. I am exactly where I am meant to be.
Extension of gratitude to my listeners, experiences and loved ones.
