Hari Om and good day to you, friends.
Today we begin with gratitude. This is a fruitious way to begin, well, anything. But, the reality we know now is: this is not always easy. This is a practice, not an innate characteristic; and if it were innate, we would have silenced it so long ago that it requires practice to get back to it. So, we practice. We find our balance, our meditation posture, and our breath. This can be enough. Truly. From here, we can feel gratitude in our body, even if we don't hear it in our thought boday, or sense it in our emotional body, our physical body grows around our breath, and this growth is receiving, and receiving begets gratitude. That is really all it takes to water the seed.
We go onto find that which we may feel is in our way, and it is nearly always, if not always, a part of our experience that we simply need to hear, see, and engage with. The best way I have found to engage with a stubborn feeling or an absolute thought, is to simply ask: Is That So? And, just as surely as it rises, it begins to settle. See, these feelings were ALWAYS coming and going, it was only our insistance that they remain that keeps them here for so long. So, we acknowledge and we receive, and we say thank you, and then it is already gone. Just like that. Is That So?
