  • Living Your Truth for Self-Growth | with Charly Caldwell | Ep. 28

In this episode, I am joined by my friend Charly Caldwell—a business and online marketing coach—in conversation about vision, introspection, and being yourself. We discuss how Charly has overcome struggles in his life, how having a clear vision of your desires gives them direction, and how self-reflection can take place in a meaningful and productive way. Charly’s coaching work goes beyond straightforward advice on how to break even: he acknowledges how mindset can inhibit or facilitate growth, both in the business world and in one’s personal life. Together we provide an outline for how someone can step into themselves and live their personal truth.

  • Building a Better Mindset in Life | with Larry Gibbs | Ep. 27

In this episode, I am accompanied by my good friend Larry Gibbs, a financial professional with years of experience in his field. We discuss the importance of intentionality, optimism, sacrifice, and high self-expectations in all aspects of life, including in our careers and at home with our families. Larry speaks on his run-ins with hardship and his take on parenthood, both of which he has approached with his three key pillars in mind: optimism, energy, and curiosity. These pose as guiding principles for how we can better optimize our life by first bettering our mindset.

  • Using Food as Medicine | with Kathryn Petritis | Ep. 26

In this week’s episode, I, alongside integrated nutritional health coach Kathryn Petritis, consider the role of food in supplementing our overall health. As a chef who curates nutritional programs for others, including those who are immunocompromised, Petritis shares her expertise to explore how food can act as medicine. We unpack the necessity of strategy in eating healthier, identify diet as a way of living, and answer an important question: how do I eat healthy when I don't have the time? In our conversation, Petritis provides an approach to healthy eating that emphasizes knowledge, mindset, and intentionality.

  • Approaching Wellness & Longevity Scientifically (Pt.1) | with Dr. John Sottery | Ep. 24

This week on Journey to June, my guest is a dear friend and someone whose work interests and inspires me deeply, Dr. John Sottery. John is a scientist and PhD whose work is focused on understanding and optimizing human health at a molecular level to help people live longer and healthier lives.

It can be hard to navigate the health and wellness industry, especially in a time where there are countless products, supplements, and quick fixes being sold to us online and on social media. John’s work aims to weed through the noise and educate people on the things that actually help them, heal them, and increase their longevity. John has the unique ability to simplify complex topics so that regular people can understand them without needing a deep scientific background. His guidance, expertise, and research has helped me so much over the last few years and I am constantly inspired by the cutting edge work he is doing.

Check out this episode to learn what influenced John to become a scientist, how he got to where he is today, and what he has learned along the way. • Maximizing Growth through Yoga | with Todd McLaughlin | Ep. 23

This week on Journey to June, my guest is Todd McLaughlin, co-founder of Native Yoga Center and Palm Beach Thai Massage. Todd has served his community as a yoga teacher and licensed massage therapist for the past 20+ years. He also shares his extensive knowledge in yoga, anatomy, and bodywork through Yoga Teacher Training and Traditional Thai Massage certification courses.

I met Todd about a year ago at his yoga studio and I immediately felt a connection to him and the community he is building. Todd has not taken a traditional path to get where he is today. From an early age, he found himself interested in learning more about other cultures and other ways of being that weren’t as common in his world. In this episode, he takes on the journey of living and working all over the world, what he learned, how he discovered what he wanted in life, and all how it ultimately led him to open his own yoga and massage practice.

If you’re curious about the practice of yoga, definitely give this episode a listen. If you’re interested in working with Todd or learning more about his work visit nativeyogacenter.com.

  • Cooking for the Community | with Rhona Bowles Kamar | Ep. 22

This week, I spoke to the wonderful Rhona Bowles Kamar, who is the executive director of Feed Louisville. What started as a small pandemic exercise, Feed Louisville has now turned into an impressive campaign that has partnered with almost 16 restaurants to provide meals to thousands of people who need them. Though she is a chef by qualification, Rhona now thrives in the work that she does in solidarity with the community (it is not a charity). And I agree. When Rhona talks about what the organization has accomplished in its 3 years, you only see humanity and solidarity.

I met Rhona in 2017, when she was going through a really difficult time in her life. In this episode, Rhona and I talk about her journey from the woman I met back in 2017, to the woman she is today – a true Soulstigator in every sense of the word.

  • What it Takes to Produce on Broadway | with Kit Seidel | Ep. 20

This week, on Journey to June, I spoke to our longtime family friend and Tony Award-winning Broadway Producer, Kathleen “Kit” Seidel. I have known Kit for so long, but her story of resilience, being a late bloomer, getting sober, starting over and her journey to discovering her passion, absolutely blows my mind. From taking that first leap of faith and moving to New York, to making that decision to not drink another drop of alcohol.

Kathleen “Kit” Seidel is a former community activist and two-time Tony Award winning Producer behind a lot of Al Pacino’s work on Broadway, Beautiful: The Carol King Story and Hair. She is a recovering alcoholic, who celebrated 36 years of sobriety in May this year. She is also the Executive Producer of The Warm Season (2023), which is directed by her son, Adam Seidel. The movie is currently being shown at film festivals, and has won the “Festival Director’s Award” at the 2023 Boston SciFi Film Festival and the “Best Cinematography Award” at the 2023 Santa Fe Film Festival. The film also received the ReFrame Stamp for Gender Balanced Production, for being inclusive before and behind the camera.

  • Performing for the Inner Child | with Elizabeth Brockwell | Ep. 19

My guest this week is the born performer Elizabeth Brockwell, who loves everything about the performing arts just as much as she loves teaching it. As someone who has always loved performing, Elizabeth learned to overcome her struggles that come with not being a conventional performer, to pave her own path... that led her to her love for teaching. As someone who recognizes the struggles of being a unique performer, she distills all her years of experience for her students (like Josi) to benefit from, and helps them find their voice so that they can achieve their dreams. Today, Elizabeth is not just an acclaimed performance director and choreographer, she is also a well-loved mentor to her students.
