This week on Journey to June, I sat down with Katrina Vailes — fitness and wellness coach, mom of two, and the powerhouse behind The Glow Up Gang. Katrina’s story is one of reinvention, resilience, and rediscovering self-worth through discipline and grace.
We first met on a sunrise hike in Kelowna — she had driven nearly four hours in the dark with her kids just to be there. That’s Katrina in a nutshell: devoted, determined, and all in for growth.
In this episode, we dive into her journey from athlete to kinesiology graduate to single mom and entrepreneur. She opens up about the insecurities that once held her back, the defining moment that pushed her to finally step into her purpose, and the lessons she’s learned about motherhood, self-worth, and healing after divorce.
Katrina’s message is a reminder that it’s never too late to dream bigger, rise stronger, and glow from within.

What if the very conversation you’ve been avoiding is the key to your next level of leadership— in business, motherhood, and life?
This week on Journey to June, I sat down with Karen Elliott— business coach, speaker, and founder of Lead With Purpose— known by many as the Queen of Difficult Conversations.
A former sport physiotherapist who grew a one-woman clinic into a thriving multidisciplinary team, Karen learned the hard way what happens when we avoid the conversations that matter most. Today, she helps high-performing leaders communicate with courage, lead with clarity, and build businesses that serve both their people and their lives.

When life throws you a curveball, who do you become?
In this episode of Journey to June, I sit down with Marine Crile— pastry entrepreneur, cancer thriver, mother of two, and co-founder of KRMA Foods, "The Twisted Bakery." From losing her job during COVID to pitching to QVC overnight, Marine’s story is one of courage, faith, and the power of mindset.
Marine opens up about walking through fear with grace, motherhood through uncertainty, and what it means to rebuild from the inside out. Her story is a reminder that even when life feels messy and unpredictable, we can choose to lead with grit, giggles, grace, and gratitude.

This week on Journey to June, I sat down with Sophia Cheverez— a former professional ballerina who turned her pain into purpose. From starting ballet at age five to training at an elite level by eighteen, Sophia’s story is one of beauty, sacrifice, and transformation.
Now a stretch therapist at Jupiter Hills Country Club, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor, and a private dance coach, Sophia is using her journey to help others— especially youth— develop confidence, body awareness, and resilience. Together, she and Wendy explore what it takes to rebuild after burnout, the power of family dynamics, and how to lead with both strength and softness.

This week on Journey to June, Josi and I take you on a very real and raw ride—literally. We recorded this episode in the car on our drive from New York to Florida, which feels fitting because the conversation is all about the journey of learning, parenting, and trying new paths.
We dive into why we chose homeschooling, the shifts we’re seeing in education, and how AI is changing the way kids learn. Along the way, we talk about confidence, character, and what it really means to prepare kids for a future that looks very different from the classrooms we grew up in.
This episode will make you question what “education” should look like, why community and curiosity matter more than ever, and how listening to your kids might just change the entire trajectory of their learning and yours.
