National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, and the Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party, Henry Nana Boakye, have clashed over the ruling in the Assin North case. The Cape Coast High Court annulled the results of the 2020 parliamentary elections in the Assin North constituency.

Deputy Attorney-General, Alfred Tuah-Yeboah, has refuted allegations by #FixtheCountry Movement Convener, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, that the Police tortured him while he was under detention for allegedly threatening a coup on social media. Former Finance Minister Dr Kwabena Duffuor is set to launch a National Democratic Congress (NDC) grassroots empowerment and self-financing Project dubbed the ‘NDC Ahotɔ Project’ for the grassroots. ‘Ahotɔ’ means relief in the Akan language. In a statement, the project manager stated that the Project’s main aim is “geared towards setting up micro-businesses in all the 275 Constituencies to create the much needed, but currently unavailable local funding for the day-to-day running of the NDC party at the grassroots level”.

Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak says the Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo is being treated unfairly by both the Speaker and the Majority Leader in relation to her referral to the Privileges Committee. According to him, the MP had undertaken due process to seek a leave of absence from the Speaker before leaving the country for the United States of America to handle some personal issues.
