The Attorney-General and Minister for Justice says some lawyers belonging to political parties deliberately attempt to bring the judiciary’s image into disrepute. According to Godfred Dame, these lawyers resort to social media to achieve their target. He made these remarks when addressing the Bench, Bar and Faculty Conference on Thursday.

The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education – Ghana (PRINCOF) has directed that teacher trainees start to fund their own feeding from May 8.

This directive is in response to the inability of Colleges of Education to make payments for food items supplied to them. According to PRINCOF, food suppliers who had continued delivering supplies to these Colleges of Education for months without payment have finally withdrawn their services till they receive the monies owed them.

The National Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Buaben Asamoa has rejected portions of the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU)’s report which tipped the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as the party with a higher probability to secure victory in the next general elections. Mr. Asamoa contended that the NDC’s loss in the 2016 and 2020 general elections is a testimony to the party’s inability to govern the country, hence cannot win the 2024 elections.
