I am coming to you with this weeks PNP news update on the nominations for the week. The week I am referring to is the week ending January 1, 2022. This week, I only have one province to report and that is the province of Manitoba. 

Manitoba

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited a total of 393 immigration candidates on draw held on December 30. given below are the number of invitations issued for each program, and the minimum score cutoff according to the province’s Expression of Interest (EOI) system:

Skilled Workers in Manitoba — 332 invitations with a minimum score of 375;

Skilled Workers Overseas — 35 invitations with a minimum score of 726; and

International Education Stream — 26 invitations with no score requirement.
Among these invitations, 73 were issued to candidates in the Express Entry system.

Good day ladies and gentlemen, today is the 24th of December and I am coming to you a day earlier with this week's PNP updates because tomorrow is Christmas! Let me start off with British Columbia 

British Columbia invited 243 immigration candidates through Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws held on December 21.
The province held two draws through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) and invited candidates from the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC) streams.

Invitations were issued to those from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate as well as Entry Level and Semi-Skilled sub-categories of SI and EEBC streams.

194, were sent through a general draw. These candidates received invitations if they met the minimum score requirements between 74 and 106 depending on the program for which they are eligible.

Another draw targeted candidates whose occupation falls under NOC 0621(retail and wholesale trade managers) or NOC 0631 (restaurant and foodservice managers). That draw resulted in 49 invitations with minimum scores of 106 across the board. The next province we are going to talk about is Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan launches new International Healthcare Worker EOI Pool On December 20 , 2021, The purpose of the pool is to help connect healthcare workers with job opportunities in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan will review your qualifications and should you have the skills that an employer is looking for, the province will contact you with information on how to apply for a job opportunity.

If you then receive a job offer, you may be eligible for the SINP’s International Skilled Worker: Employment Offer or the Hard-to-Fill Skills Pilot.

The SINP website offers a guide on how to create an EOI profile. To submit an EOI you need to have a professional background that falls under one of the following National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes.

This is a job offer stream and if you have a job offer, you can apply under one of the following streams.

AIPP is now a permanent program and the p in AIPP has gone and the program is no longer a pilot program effective January 01, 2022. According to the news release by IRCC, Building on the success of the pilot, the Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, today announced the launch of the Atlantic Immigration Program. This new permanent program will officially open on January 1, 2022, helping the Atlantic provinces attract the skilled newcomers they need to address economic and demographic challenges, such as the labour shortage in the region.

AIPP was launched in  2017, the Atlantic Immigration Pilot has now brought over 10,000 new permanent residents to Atlantic Canada. Participating employers have made over 9,800 job offers in key sectors, including health care, accommodations, food services and manufacturing. Most significantly, over 90% of applicants were still living in the region after 1 year; a much higher retention rate than other programs. The permanent program retains the 3 features that made the pilot such a success: a focus on employers, enhanced settlement support and a collaborative approach across all Atlantic provinces. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and the Atlantic provinces worked closely together to design the permanent program based on lessons learned and recommendations from the pilot evaluation. The changes include clarifying roles between partners, increasing employer support through training and strengthening program requirements to ensure newcomers can successfully establish themselves in the region.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada is working closely with employers and provincial governments to ensure a smooth transition between the pilot and the permanent program. Candidates with a valid endorsement can begin submitting applications for permanent residence under the new program on March 6, 2022.
