Get ready for the “Henny God” as Episode 3 of Knuckleheads with Quentin Richardson and Darius Miles features the one and only J.R. Smith. They begin by talking about J.R. wanting to play both football and basketball in college and how that ultimately led to his going straight to the NBA out of high school. They move on to discuss the early parts of J.R.’s career, what CP3 was like as a rookie, and how cool it was to play with AI at such a young age. J.R. has been teammates with quite a few superstars — he gets into the challenge of finding his role amidst all the greatness and also gives the inside scoop on the best teammate he ever beat in one-on-one. The guys then move on to J.R.’s public image and how he went from Sixth Man of the Year to Henny God in one season. Following that, it’s championship talk, as J.R. explains how much it meant to win a championship and reveals the details of his shirtless celebration that went on for weeks following the Finals. Toward the end, J.R. delves into his current situation in Cleveland, explaining why the NBA needs more GMs who are confrontational.
