This Sunday we take a break fro mthe business world to discuss a topic we can all relate to, road rage. 

Ironcially, Gerard and I are probably two of the least rage-y people on the road, but we've definitely dealt with our fair share of idiots.... like just about everyone else.

We're nerdy enough though to do this show every Sunday so we get the chance to talk out what really happens with things and how things actually work. 

So today, we pick each other's brains to find out WHY people seem to be so much more intense when they're driving, and why "road rage" is such a common thing.

Who remembers this guy from way back during episode 72? 

Around one month ago, I interviewed Gabe on the podcast and we set a goal for me to double my followers by the time he came back in a month... and did I do it? Well, you'll have to go and check. 

(just to make things easier for you... that goal would have been 1,900 followers or... 1,956 to be exact) 

Anyway, Gabe came back today and we are going to talk even more about the psychology behind viral content versus value-based content, and see if we can figure out which route is a better route to take for growth.

Here's something that has really been bothering me a lot lately. 

Reaching out to these big pages and growth hackers on Instagram (or other platforms) and asking if they see a problem with my page and why it's not growing so much. 

Here's what I usually get. 

"You need a more appealing name" 

"Try making errors in posts, to get more comments" 

"Join engagement groups, have you tried EXM?" 

"Do you pay big influencers for shoutouts?" 

I've got to say, the internet is basically just the world of fake. 

Most of the advice that I get to succeed on the internet is to change my name so that it's more appealing, or to play dumb so that people will attack and increase my engagement.

That is not going to happen. 

This is why I'm always saying I'm open to feedback, but don't guarantee I'll listen.

Because this is the type of feedback I get.

I don't care what these growth hackers say... Tips and tricks are appreciated... but I'm not changing my brand, my name, my style, or pretending I can't spell, all in the name of vanity metrics.

Period.

Yes it's true. I'm not perfect. I know. It's hard to believe.

However, I finally just have to admit this, because it's going to be the most efficient way for me to advance.

In this episode I will let you in on one of my biggest struggles with podcasting and some ideas I have to resolve this issue. 

Just as well, I am asking you (as always) to give me whatever feedback you have in order to help me improve.

I know I know... that's what everyone says, but there is a REASON that everyone says it.

I am very excited for this. We've got a new intro and outro, I'm going to try and make the titles better, I've learned some basic audio editing to make the show sound better, and the show is ROLLING.

I want all of you to know that this is my 100th episode of the podcast... but things are just getting started.

Look how far we've come!

Today is the 99th episode of this podcast, and I take the day to look all the way back to the beginning and reflect on this journey I've taken with you all. 

It is still astonishing to me that I've actually managed to keep up with this little challenge I gave myself of producing a podcast every day for year. 

I can officially say that I made it through at least 100 days, and honestly, I think things are only going to get better from here. 

So today, I spend the first part of this episode going back through all of my episodes and pointing out some that I think are more worth listening to than others, and then at the end I'll answer some questions I'm getting from Instagram. 

AND EPISODE 100 IS UP NEXT. 

I am super excited for episode 100 with my new intro/outro, editing, and some of the guests that I have coming up in the next month are STELLAR, so keep an eye out for those interviews.

There, I finally said it.

I know for a lot of you it probably goes without saying, but I really needed to vent about this eventually. So here it is. 

I do this podcast every day... that means I have to actually work on it every day.

That means I have to stick with it...

That means I have to record, edit, upload, and write every day...

That means I have to actually have something to talk about... 

It gets tough. 

But here's the thing... I'm never going to stop. Until I am the one that wants to. 

It doesn't matter how many listeners I have, how much it tires me out, I really enjoy doing it, and that's what makes it so "easy" to do. 

Not that it's easy work.
