Early on, she worked as director of development for Disney Channel and developed and wrote for the Madeline TV series, based on the children's book series. She also wrote the Sesame Street home video Big Bird Gets Lost and wrote the screenplay for the 2001 film The Trumpet of the Swan. Judy also wrote episode scripts for The Puzzle Place, Arthur, ToddWorld and many more. As head writer, she worked on the Playhouse Disney interstitial series Shanna's Show and Happy Monster Band and co-created series such as Jim Henson's Frances, Julie's Greenroom and Norman Picklestripes. She also ran the blog The Neurotic Parent!
