  • The Social Dilemma, The Gift of Fear, and the Book I Threw Out.
Thoughts after watching the movie The Social Dilemma on Netflix, and the actions I've taken as it's shown me how addicted I've become to social media. Exploring others reactions in the form of agreement and resistance to watching the show or not watching it. I also talk about our intuition how I've been using mine along with my moral compass more and more (are they the same thing? I don't know, all I know is I'm well guided by them). Also talking about a book I got so mad at I threw out. Haha. Enjoy.

  • How Much Hair Loss in the Shower is Normal?
This is a big question for a lot of people. We lose anywhere from 50-100 hairs a day and for some people, it all comes out in the shower. Imagine 100 long wet hairs balled up and wiped on your shower wall - it would look like a small animal right?! It's totally normal. I talk about the 3 phases of hair growth, and what's normal hair shedding and when it's time to take a closer look at what may be going on.

  • Our Thoughts Take Up Energy
I'm reading this book right now and it talks about how our brain is 2% of our body weight and uses 20% of our energy. So what's on our minds is consuming our energy. Something to think about.

  • How to Stop Being Afraid of Saying No and Hurting Someone's Feelings
So many of us accept friend requests or have virtual conversations with people we instinctively don't like...for no other reason than we don't want to hurt their feelings. Setting boundaries means saying yes to some things and no to others. When we say yes to someone we really don't want to, we are actually not be truthful with ourselves or them. We need to say no without an explanation or an apology and understand that when people get mad at us for saying no, that that's ok. And a great sign that you really don't want them in your life.

  • #nofilter - the Double Entendre
There's a strong whiff of bullshit with using #nofilter. The people that use it always look strikingly beautiful, the lighting is perfect, and at the same time there's the insinuation that they're better than you. If we're going to do a no filter challenge, let's go whole hog and have the worst lighting, the most unflattering angles. Enjoy.

  • Competition VS Collaboration in Network Marketing
When you first start out in Network Marketing, there's this weird feeling of competing with your own team that happens. No one talks about this and it's totally normal. Looking at it like say your significant other has been telling you something for a long time and you ignore the advice, and then one day a coach or a friend gives you the same advice and you listen to it...haha. This is a concept I've used to help me see past competing.

  • Covid Fatigue
I've been avoiding going out shopping because of the stress of the judgement of others. Whether you wear a mask or not, people have strong opinions either way and it feels like you can't win. I'm down to eating canned tuna and pasta now because I keep avoiding going shopping. It's so strange.

  • Empathy and Setting Boundaries
Man, I am exploring how to navigate empathy and setting up boundaries at the same time. This is something I haven't heard anyone train on, and I'm looking for it! As a 45 year old woman, I have chosen to always be there for people, under the guise of being a good listener, supposedly helping people, when sometimes I'm being a doormat and getting my energy sucked dry. Three things I've been doing differently is paying attention to my instincts, not responding to every single message or comment I get and challenging myself to make a response in one sentence only. With as few words as possible. Enjoy.
