Joining us today for a look at the global markets is Jurrien Timmer, Director of Global Macro. Today with host Pamela Ritchie, Jurrien touches upon many topics including currency issues, China’s potential reopening, and how emerging markets will fare this year. Jurrien explains the importance of not getting caught up in the short-term moves in the market because ultimately it comes down to earnings and liquidity. He says his sense is that 2023 will be a year of frustration both for the bulls and the bears. He also adds that emerging markets may be the rising star this year led by China’s reopening after a zero-COVID policy environment.
