Coming off another week of notable volatility, U.S. markets opened lower to begin the week of May 16, on weaker economic data out of China feeling concerns about global economic slowdown. With the prospect of continued volatility, inflation concerns and tightening monetary policy, what should investors be keeping an eye on? Also of note, China's lockdown-driven retail sales dropped by about 11% in April over last year marking their worst decline since March 2020.
