While U.S. inflation seems to have peaked in April, gasoline and food prices remain at elevated levels. Joining us today to discuss his latest thoughts on inflation, the Fed, and much more is Fidelity’s Director of Global Macro, Jurrien Timmer. With host Pamela Ritchie, Jurrien looks at this weeks meeting between President Biden, Fed Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. He touches on how stagflation could cushion the blow for a while and prevent a recession in the U.S. Also, what it means that share buybacks are running at a very robust rate. Per usual, Jurrien has a few charts to share so please head to @TimmerFidelity on Twitter to follow along.
