the one thing most people forget on their journey to fulfillment, success, and thriving - PLAY. As a self proclaimed personality hire, I'm on a quest to redefine what being a personality hire means, and showing the world that you can do incredibly HARD THINGS with the right soft skills.
the first of which I want to mention is finding and highlighting the fun and play in every day work - what are easy ways to implement play? why does play matter in helping us succeed? tune into todays episode to find out more!

BACK FROM THE BEST TRIP EVER!!! I had the best time when the ADA invited me to record an episode live at SmileCon in New Orleans this past weekend! It was such an honor to be invited, and this opportunity symbolized the accumulation of many hours of hard work and dedication. This got me thinking - how do you stay focused, more so - how do you stay OBSESSED with what you're doing, long enough so that you can become a top performer? Today I share 3 key tips to loving the process and every day little things you do in the dark that bring the bright big lights & shiny moments

Do you have someone in your life that you're trying to reach across to, but can't seem to get to? Turns out it has a lot more to do with you than them. Today's episode is part II of how to become a better listener, and therefore become HEARD better as well. We discuss things like:
- How strangers misread each other 80% of the time!!!! What are the filters we're accidentally placing on strangers, coworkers, and loved ones?
- What are the best questions to ask to really get to know someone for who they are? What are they questions they WANT people to ask them?
- How do you handle someone's negative emotions when they tend to make YOU feel uncomfortable in return? How can we become more comfortable with walking patients through their negative emotions so that they can feel better?
All this and more on todays episode - ft. nuggets I've learned from the book Just Listen by Mark Goulston, psychologist and FBI negotiations trainer

JUST GOT BACK FROM VAIL!!!! I had the BEST time at The Making Of ___ retreat - shout out to Dr. Ashley Joves, Brian, and Collin for putting on the best retreat known to any dentist. We laughed, we cried, we learned a lot of valuable information, and I wanted to bring this all home to you - this conference was focused on dental practice owners, but I thought how cool would it be to instead see running your LIFE as the business. I take the tips they shared and correlate them to your life/care/wellness goals, so we discuss things like:
story time recap of retreat 00:00-12:45
tangible lessons & takeaway from lectures 12:45-end
- how to be more disciplined, create systems for achieving weekly minimum goals, and create self confidence and control with consistency
- how to create the best first impression, network
- how to stand out to patients and create an insanely awesome experience
all this and more - enjoy!

it's self care september!!! I wanted to do an episode about self care this month because in the season of fresh beginnings, new school years, and new routines/habits, one of the biggest things I've learned recently is how I had so many limiting beliefs/misconceptions about self care, rest, and what I am worth/deserve, and I am willing to bet you have felt the same way. In this episode we not only unpack the things you're allowing yourself to believe or telling yourself that are keeping you small & in your comfort zone, and instead how to break out of that while still allowing for moments and pockets of comfort & peace. I share things like my favorite current routines for sleep, diet, exercise, and mental health and also unpack fun things like the hatch and scentbird!
