We understand that we should “say what we mean and mean what we say” and “do what we say and say what we do.”

Good communication includes communicating verbally and non-verbally; and doing so in a kind, responsible and respectful way. When we communicate well we make it possible for others to really understand us.

And when our partners understand us accurately, we feel valued, respected and cared for, and THAT increases intimacy and trust.
