Just Films and That

"Before Challengers came out, we were starved of films with tennis AND romance in them."

Right? Wrong.

Because in 2004 there was a little comedy called Wimbledon and that’s’ just what we're discussing this week

Jamie chose this one so give it a listen to hear our thoughts!

This week, we dive back into the world of British comedy as we discuss The Parole Officer from 2001, starring Steve Coogan.

Josh chose this one as he reckons it deserves a bit more love than its scores suggest, but will Jamie agree?

But guys, didn’t you JUST do a Jack Nicholson film in The Bucket List a few weeks ago?

Yes, but he’s not a Wolf in that is he? And who doesn’t want to see Jack Nicholson as a Wolf?

Jamie picked this one as he reckons it’s underrated.

Is he howling up the wrong tree? Or is it fangtastic?

Give it a listen to hear our thoughts!

This week we dived back into the world of listener’s suggestions as our brilliant listener Kris got in touch to suggest we take a look at Paths of Glory because he reckons more people should see it.

So, is it a Kubrick classic? Or a Douglas Dud?

A couple of sports fans take desperate measures to try and help their team win something after years of abject failure…..which is painfully the plot of this week’s film, Angels in the Outfield.

This week it’s a complex one.

Basically, a British sitcom character goes to America and absolutely destroys an innocent man’s life and an incredibly historic/expensive painting in the process.

Yes, get ready for a real thematic headscratcher as we take a look at Bean from 1997.

Josh chose this one, give it a listen to find out why an earth that may be!
