Just Films and That

Throwback Thursday time!

From one film ending in IUM to another as we move from Equilibrium to Imperium.

Whilst they are very much NOT related there are some similar themes really…. Both leads have brown hair for example. ANALYSIS!

Alice picked this one back in 2022 as she reckoned it deserves a bit more attention. But was she right?

Give it a listen!

Original air date: 17/05/2022

It’s the end of the world and you’re not allowed to speak.

No, that’s not a dramatic reaction to something and I’m fine… thanks for asking.

Anyway, it’s a description of this week’s film, Azrael. This one was another suggestion from our wonderful listeners as this time Newman got in touch to suggest it.

But is underrated, under seen or even both?

Give it a listen!

Throwback Thursday time!

So, what did we follow up Spice World with back in 2022? Why a film where feeling emotion is illegal of course.

It’s Equilibrium starring Christian Bale.

So, was it underrated, under seen or even both?

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if they made a film about Sherlock Holmes but every character was a mouse? Of course you have, you’re cultured and intelligent.

Well, you’re in luck, as this week, we’re talking about The Great Mouse Detective (aka Basil the Great Mouse Detective).

Josh chose this one as he thinks it deserves to be seen by more people. But is he right?

Give it a listen to find out!

What’s the most generic film title you’ve ever heard?

Well, we'll bet this week's film is in the running and that it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not underrated or under seen!

It’s Above the Shadows from 2019.

Jamie chose this one. Give it a listen to hear our thoughts!

Judgement is coming…

Again…. Because we are concluding our Judge Dredd double bill!

This one has been on our listener’s suggestion list for A LONG time as so many of you have suggested it over the years.

So, did Josh reckon it was under seen, underrated or even both?
