  • Black Chyna Vs. The Kardashians

I used to really like Blac Chyna and I still do. I admired her hustle for many years until well I guess she fell off. I think she had multiple opportunities to make money but some of those shows really damaged her "celebrity status". The world we live in today, people are very involved with our lives, yelling and screaming will turn people off from you. I do think that she has been through a lot, but also think she does have to take some accountability. People say all kind of things about her, where I see someone who has been through trauma, and really is looking for some restitution. Not a Kardashian fan but I don't think they really ganged up to kill the show. I mean the show was okay but they split up, so what would they film? I in know what believe that Rob was in the right its gross what he did, in no way should you have posts private pictures of someone.

  • How Do YOU not want ME?
    Seriously?
Can we be honest? You and I are a catch. It is a little insane that someone would not want us. But, okay, we are perfect. Lol Okay, no, we aren't, but have you ever been rejected? Has it ever made you feel sad? Have you ever taken it personally?
Rejection is never easy; I did an entire podcast on it. But I am reframing the question of How do you not want me? To you don't deserve me. Also, when some of these people reject including a workplace, it is really because we don't match. It's usually some low vibe person or crappy workplace that doesn't value people. So, in the end, we do better; if you look back at tour history at the people you may have liked that did not like you back, many of them are the same or worse off they were years ago. You, my friend and dear listener (even if in a rut), your glow up usually supersedes there. That is not bragging. It's a simple fact.
I remember when I liked this guy, and I would move heaven and earth for some attention until I found his energy exhausting. He also did the bare minimum but always talked a really big game. I felt rejected because he wasn't that into me. The funny story is when my rose-coloured glasses were removed, it's like, really girl! The guy has nothing but lip service and creative lying experiences out of this world. Why on earth did I try that hard for someone who lacks consistency, trust and honesty. Anyway, when I left the circus, I ended up with a wonderful lawyer (he isn't always), who, if nothing else, doesn't lie and is always consistent. I had to let go to let in someone else. This also applies to work; I think I told y'all about that gross job interview.
Sometimes you have to reframe and revaluate. And if that's too hard as yourself. would I pay for this person to treat me this way? (Cause we all love money.)

  • The Obstacle is the Way
Everyone wants to give up, so don't feel special. Life gets complicated and presents some tough challenges that sometimes we have to go alone. People don't understand what we are going through, and it can feel very isolating.
I am here to tell you that the obstacle you face is the real way. Think of your life and something you never thought you would overcome, and you overcame it. No one is encouraged 24/7. People get defeated and unmotivated, but you know what sets a winner apart? The ability to push through, the ability to still do something. However, you may not be 100%. You may be operating at 30%, but give yourself credit because you are committed to yourself and aren't breaking your promise.
Obstacles build character, and they build strength; everything you have been through that has challenged you gave you power. You literally float through the things that people trip over because of the challenges you have adapted and conquered.
Commit to yourself, and never break a self-commitment; even if you don't feel like tackling it, tackle it and get it done.

  • Will Smith Vs Chris Rock

My thoughts: I do not in any way condone violence. However, I also don't condone trolling either. I believe that Chris Rock did not deserve to be publicly slapped by Will Smith at such a powered event. Especially winning an Oscar for such a touching film. A film about a black father that trained his daughters to become the most outstanding female athletes, commanding respect when they entered the room. That being said, Rock was dead wrong to speak on a medical condition; I don't care whether people feel like he did not know. Many women don't choose to go bald by choice. Some of them do, and others have no choice. Speaking on a woman's hair but precisely a "black woman's" hair is wrong. As black women still face the "hair convo" at workplaces and school, not being able to wear braids or the fro look. Ironically he made the movie good hair and did chastise women who wore weaves.

That being said, I know Rock was traumatized as a kid, and I can imagine how humiliating it was for him to be slapped on stage. However, I think he did a good job keeping his composure. But often find, people who go through trauma or were bullied turn around and bully others. Comedy is comedy 100%. It's fun, and you can for sure make fun of people. However, medical and personal struggles should be off-limits.

I don't think Will was wrong for standing up for his wife; I just don't think he needed to put his hands on him. He could have yelled at him, for sure. However, the slap was overboard.

  • Bad Vibes consuming Mental Real Estate
Only invest your mind in things that matter to you
Let's be abundantly clear, every person in our lives takes up some mental real estate. As we age, we have to make allowances for some and X out others that don't deserve to be there. So many of us live on the edge every day; the last thing we want or need is some gaslighting person always there to aggravate. And so I tell you to start selling that property.
To me, friendships and relationships are an investment, and you see, when it comes to money, you are very careful where you invest it. But when it comes to our energy, we tend to invest haphazardously and then wonder why we are so tired or irritated. This is funny because time and energy are the things we can never get back. You could be dead broke tomorrow and be a millionaire the next day. But you can't be 40 and then 25 tomorrow. So we need to start protecting our energy and focusing on the people who are important and have something to contribute to our lives and dump everyone else.
Ask yourself this: If I was paying for this relationship, would this person still get my money?

  • Closing The Gap of Who You Are Vs Who People Think You Are
    What defines you?
It's clear on social media today that many people who, let's be honest, are nobody's feel like somebody's because they flex online. Meaning they post pictures of houses they can't afford, drive cars they can't pay for, fake documents, borrow money from everyone around them to flex. The true definition of flexing is making your own money, cultivating your lifestyle on your dime. Eventually, the people you borrow from will be tired of you, the car repossessed, and chances are you may be homeless or sued.
    Why?
Everyone on this earth wants to feel and be unique and social media gives you a platform to do just that. But, unfortunately, it gives you this false sense of "Look at me" many people with no talent other than being attractive. But attractive is subjective and not forever, and eventually, you cant capitalize on your looks.
It becomes more challenging for us to be authentic because we begin to live in a parallel universe, from the IG flex to the debt collector calls, which only brings us further from ourselves and closer to hell.
Y'all know I love luxury things, but I purchase them because I like them, not because other people have them. I believe in being my authentic self, so I don't live up to other people's definition of me. I refuse to go into debt to borrow anything from anyone to pretend all is good. Look at all the YouTubers going flat broke from all that flexing. Don't be them!

  • Job Interviews Suck and Job Interviewers Blow
This is a storytime/ rant about this awful experience with an interviewer. They were super judgmental and rude for no reason. I figured many people could relate to this. While I believe these people have no manners, many interviewers think they are God. An interview should be based on the person's skill set when one is going for a job interview. Who cares really what they look like, or what they do after work hours.
The funny thing is that most people live double lives, including the douchy interviewer judging you. It's like acting high and mighty when you low key have an alternative lifestyle or are just miserable with your life. The most comical thing is that when people have these mediocre jobs, they think they are Jesus and because you won't commit to 40,000 a year as they have, you are the opposition which is crazy. I can not live on that, and many people alike can not. So, therefore, they run side businesses that they are passionate about and can help other people. So because I run a business, I can't work?
These women are married, and that's fine. I am not and I have nobody paying any bills around here. I can commit to a 9-5, but after 5 is my time. Running a business in no way means that you can't work a 9-5. The work culture today is having more than 1 job. So because I run a business in a small-minded person's head, I can't work normally. Rather than seeing a person who runs a business as an asset, people are just jealous. That's why you can never tell a company you own or have another job. It's a joke because they always do!
We all have the same 24hrs in a day, sis, and if you want to run a business or go back to school, do it. However, don't guilt me because I want more for my life. Lots of us today work 2-3 jobs, myself included, so I will not let judging Judy stop my bag. I am also a single woman, and I don't have a husband to supplement my income, so we have to have another job or business over here. Thank you!

  • GMT is out NOW!!

Welcome to my Birthday edition of “Good Morning Text.” Firstly, I want to thank you for supporting my business but mostly my book. I had written this when I was going through a lot with someone I liked. But life changes; you grow and evolve.

This marks 31 years on earth, and I’m in a different stage of mind. Literally, in 6 months, my life has changed.

I released a birthday edition to symbolize growth and make the redo more representative of where I am today—using lighter colours and making some changes.

I have never been more in love with myself, crafting what I want for myself. I tried to transmit this feeling to you.

I wrote a book last year, and it did pretty well. So I revamped it and it will launch March 7 and it will be $5. You’ll be able to have access immediately. This is a positive intention book! I even changed the cover.
