Featuring Attachment Style: let's be clear you can not live in this world without disappointment. But not all disappointment is equal, and some forms of disappointment cause heavy tension and usually a breakdown in a relationship, but it doesn't have to. I want you to know that you can predict dissatisfaction from many people in your life by their behaviour. I am not saying that people can not change, but many people practice not being self-aware, so they change and not transform. So remember that transformation trumps change. I will do a podcast diving into attachment style, but right now, this is dealing with people who disappoint you. You can not avoid disappointment, but you can make allowances for it. I tell a quick story about how I was left holding a bag in a situation, but I pulled through because I know this person's character, and I know they give up super easy.
I watched Dahmer, and I think Evan Peters did an excellent job channelling him. It was lacking lustre, almost like it was missing something. Other than the gory crimes and the beer not sure what else happened. I will give credit where it's due and say that one thing this film achieved was making a point that he got away based on three things sociological, racial and homosexual. Sociologically the police did nothing because he was a white blonde male. So how could he ever be a killer? Racially- the people he went after were mostly Asian and black, and their lives have always been undervalued. Then homosexuality, reporting a homosexual crime back then and today, had people discounting your story and victim shaming you. Therefore, many lives could have been saved if the system did its job and put its stereotypes to bed. In pop culture, his name is never mentioned because of those things but also because of cannibalism which people find to be gross, and yes, it is that he ate his victims. But it is crucial people keep their victims in mind because this is an excellent example of how a person assaulted a boy and got a slap on the wrist. After all, he is white. He was so confident that he transcended into a murderer but also a cannibal, where the police escorted his victims into his home.
What can I say about this movie? First, I think it was well done, and Ana De Aramas was fantastic. She portrayed Marilyn in such a powerful way. The film told a story about a girl who grew up with a mentally ill mother, who battled her demons from abandonment to being unloved to being insecure. It portrayed a famous actress who had everything anyone could want. But honestly, when your mind goes, everything goes. One of the biggest takeaways from this film is that you never genuinely know someone's backstory or what motivates them to do the things they have done. And yet, as a society, we judge people for choices they made in their past. She did very well for someone like MM, who had no parents and grew up in an orphanage. Regardless of what she did to get there. Secondly, money is not everything, inner peace and healing turmoil are.
Stop asking other people, and believe in yourself. It is your life, and only you can live it; therefore, asking other people's opinions is stupid. Most of the time, if you think about it, what you are seeking is validation about your choices from other people. But they are not you and don't live your life; what is crazy for other people is a new start for someone else. People also have bad intentions and often act from that place because of envy. Ultimately, only you should be making decisions for yourself and letting the noise of others fall back. It's you for you!
Working on yourself is essential; it doesn't matter what is happening around you, but you must always work on yourself. Transition and change are very different, and people seem to miss that. A transition is more lasting than a change because you can not quickly transition into anything. You can change into something, but a transition takes more time; it takes more building to work. Anybody can change, but can anybody transition? To transition is a process, a frustrating one but a beautiful process.
People have a nerve; well, small businesses have a nerve ... When you run your business, it is essential to note that your character is everything. These days there is no such thing as a unique business. Anything that you do, someone else, I say this often because you are working almost 24 hours representing your brand as a business owner. And no business can be without customers; it isn't a thing. So being kind to loyal customers despite being in a bad mood is fundamental. So here is a bit of s storytime.
Are you active or passive in playing? The funny thing is that we all think we will be here forever or have time. The funny thing is we have no time, and that life is constantly happening; all that matters is how active you are when it comes to that. As in, what are you waiting for? It is like if you are sad and go on vacation and have a miserable time. You had a miserable time because the vacation is happening, but your mindset is not changing. Or waiting to go somewhere but you are waiting for a partner, so you never go. If you want something, you have to go for it; time does not wait for you. And if you passively sit by and wait, you will get nothing.
Thank you so much for being here! I am pleased to be back podcasting! Life has been crazy. I have been on an up and down rollercoaster, and whew, chile, it's been difficult. But I believe that life can throw challenges at you, and all you have to do is accept and move on. The truth is the adventure of life only starts when you are being challenged and have a greater calling. I have gone through so much personal stuff that has cut to the core. But I believe I rose to the challenge and am a much different person now; I am stronger.
How do you see yourself? I believe that life is filled with valleys and peaks. You will be on both sides at points in your life. But I believe this is because as you grow you are supposed to evolve. But evolution does not happen immediately nor does it happen when your life is going amazingly. I believe that while you are in the valley is when the process starts. You learn about yourself, the things that you can tolerate versus the things you can not.
I can express that I have been quite awful a few times during my evolution but that is because I think I am used to being the nice guy. The problem with the nice guy is that people believe they can use you or that you are of low value and they can take advantage of you. A primary example is getting services done like lashes or hair and lying to the hairdresser or lash tech when they chew you out about the state of the service you are getting done. When in reality I am paying and I can damage my hair or lashes if I want to, but I feel like I am forced to lie with some level of shame. However, now that I have evolved I speak my mind with no shame.
