The split in the kibbutz movement in the 1950s is the subject of the group exhibition "The Division" at the Shturman House Museum in Ein Harod. The video, painting , sculpture and photography works in the exhibition explore directly and indirectly, the issue of division – as reflections on the challenges of this period in the kibbutz movement present insights into the current tensions and polarization in Israeli society. Mali De-Kalo, a video artist participating in the exhibition, spoke to KAN reporter Naomi Segal

A  conference entitled This is our Home will take place on  Thursday in Jerusalem. The conference is organized by the "Home" association, a national Israeli network that unites more than 40 communities of immigrants from different countries.

The conference includes lectures on immigration and absorption in wartime and a discussion on the challenges facing young  immigrants and their future in Israel.

Rabbi Ariel Konstantyn is the Founding Rabbi of The Tel Aviv International Synagogue and the Director of HaBayta (Home) in Tel Aviv, building a thriving community of Olim and Israelis, religious and secular, Ashkenazi and Sephardi. KAN's Mark Weiss spoke with  about the conference.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has been changing the face of the West Bank since he was given a role in the defense ministry , taking responsibility for civilian affairs away from the army.

KAN's Mark Weiss spoke about the changes with Professor Dan Turner, a resident of the West Bank settlement of  Kfar Adumim, a veteran and politically-diverse settlement along the Jerusalem-Jericho road.

The question over the security  arrangements for the Philadelphi corridor , the 14-kilometer route along the Egypt-Gaza border, has increased tension between Israel and Egypt. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry issued a strongly-worded response to PM Netanyahu’s accusation implying  Egypt had helped smuggle weapons across the Philadelphi Corridor.

Cairo  is demanding the IDF’s immediate withdrawal from the Rafah terminal and from the Philadelphi Corridor.

Reporter Mark Weiss spoke with Ruth Wasserman Lande, an Arab specialist and a Research Fellow at the Misgav Institute for Strategic Affairs.

A special report by the Jewish Agency’s Global Aliya Center shows that the number of people who have opened aliya files since October 7 has surpassed 30,000. Shimon Shamila, the COO of the Aliya Unit of the Jewish Agency, said that while rising global antisemitism was a factor, many were also spurred by the war to be part of the Jewish nation in the land of Israel.
