Food giant Strauss issued a widespread recall for many of its chocolate candy bars after salmonella traces were found in routine sampling from the production line at an Elite factory and in chocolate used as a raw ingredient. The affected products include Pesek Zman, Kif Kef, Ad Hatzot, Splendid, chocolate coated Energy bars and Taami, from various production dates. KAN reporter Naomi Segal asked Dr. Yasmin Maor, head of the infectious disease unit at Wolfson Medical Center, what salmonella is and its impact on our health.
