A conference for new immigrant physicians was recently held in Jerusalem, as part of a program spearheaded by the Ministry of Aliya and Integration together with partner organizations that  streamlines their integration into the Israeli healthcare system. More than 540 physicians moved to Israel from around the world last year. One of them is Dr. Carly Debinski, a pediatric neurologist who immigrated from Australia this past summer, and who has joined the Sheba medical center. She spoke to KAN reporter Naomi Segal.

After the White House named advisers on the next steps of the Gaza ceasefire, including Turkish and Qatari officials. Prime Minister Netanyahu said he was not consulted and that the inclusion of unspecified members was 'contrary to Israeli policy.'

However,  a source said that he was consulted and was aware of the picks.

Invitations have been sent to participate in the international "Board of Peace" that is meant to govern Gaza temporarily as part of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to end the war in the Palestinian enclave, U.S. officials said.

The move  came after Washington on Wednesday said it was launching the second phase of Trump's Gaza ceasefire plan even as key elements of the first phase remain unfulfilled.

KAN's Mark Weiss spoke with Dr Ronnie Shaked, a Palestinian expert from the Hebrew University’s Truman Institute.
