Karate in the Garage

August is here and so is a new theme! This month, it's Tarnished Silver! We showcase lesser seen titles that ol' Joel Silver has produced over the years.

We kick it all off with probably the most tarnished of Silver's movies in the 90's Fair Game with WIlliam Baldwin, Cindy Crawford in her feature film debut, and Steven Berkoff as the baddie.

FROM IMDB: Max Kirkpatrick is a cop who protects Kate McQuean, a civil law attorney, from a renegade KGB team out to terminate her.

Got some one-off flavor to close out No Theme July for ya'. It's 2010's The Losers with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Chris Evans, Zoe Saldano, Idris Elba, and Jason Patric with pivot into the Big Bad Baddy seat as Max, a rogue and volatile CIA Black Ops mastermind bent on rebalancing the world order.

From IMDB: A CIA special forces team is betrayed and left for dead by their superiors, galvanizing them to mount an offensive on the CIA.

It's the first Kickstart sponsored by Women's World Cup! No, not really. It's just that the WWC is owning Corey's life right now, so we record when we can. (Just like when it comes to sleeping.) This is another one of those Kickstarts where we're all over the place, but that just may be the heat and humidity talking.

Ohhhhhh, DisenCaged is back. But this time, we have no Nic and we have no cage. (Nic, shark or otherwise.)

But we DO have Josh Lucas, so...

IT'S THE BLACK DEMON!

From IMDB: Stranded on a crumbling rig in Baja, a family faces off against a vengeful megalodon shark.

Mainland Kickstart is back! No more Hawaiian takes of reggae classics playing faintly in the background while we wax postic and reverberate movie morsels into your eardrums and into your cerebellum.
