I don't think that's how discovery works. The Commonwealth can afford a not guilty in this case, however they cannot withstand the corruption revelations that are on the horizon. The testimony regarding forensics and crime scene management, seemingly made the evidence obtained by the state, useless. The police used a leaf blower to recover blood in the snow, however it also revealed the lack of taillight evidence, which was later found by the state police.
