During the last week of March 2024, two motions in this case were denied. A motion to dismiss filed by the defense and a motion to disqualify the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office. The judge did excoriate the DA's office for an absurd media package they had produced and distributed, the DA stated that the lead homicide investigator did not have a personal relationship with witnesses in this case. The federal corruption investigation revealed this was a lie and the DA likely knew it. 
At least five state witnesses will likely have to lie during this trial including the lead homicide investigator. This case is falling apart, yet we head to trial.
