  • Court Reverses Prior Order, Rules to Keep More Documents Sealed From Public

Here we provide pure opinions, comments, and speculation concerning a court order that was rendered on January 29, 2026 - the first filing on the docket in over 3 weeks - which grants the State's Motion to Reconsider Unsealing Documents per the 3rd Court Order to unseal issued October 16, 2025.

The same relates to documents under seal from Jan., Feb. and March 2025 including evidence. In doing so, the Court has reversed a decision to unseal specific documents contained in a December 18, 2025 order without providing details as to which documents will not be released - or why.

Everything here represents the pure opinion, commentary, speculation and rhetorical questions per the First Amendment to the United States Constitution which states:Amendment ICongress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. It is codified within Section 107 of the U.S. Copyright Act, which provides that fair use of a work “for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use, scholarship, or research)” is not an infringement of copyright.

All parties who are charged with crimes are considered innocent under the eyes of the law until or unless they (1) are adjudicated guilty in a court of law or (2) agree to plead guilty.

  • How a Texas Case Could Pave the Way for a Kohberger Appeal (Opinion)

Here we provide pure opinions, comments, and speculation concerning the catastrophic events at 1122 King Road which led to the initiation of one of the most high-profile cases in recent years of Idaho v. Kiohberger a case which was highly sealed with gag orders and multiple behind-closed-doors hearings in the more than 2.5 years it was actively prosecuted until July 2025. At that time, it was announced Mr. Kohberger had accepted a plea deal agreeing to waive his appellate rights which cancelled the then-pending August 2025 jury trial and led to Mr. Kohberger's sentencing shortly thereafter on July 23, 2025 without any pre-sentencing activities for Mr. Kohberger who had been diagnosed with multiple medical conditions including autism 90 days before and where the trial court was required to determine if his guilty plea was "knowing" and "voluntary."

A SCOTUS case brought by a Texas man styled as Hunter v. United States wherein Mr. Hunter also waived his appellate rights in a plea deal that will be entertained by the U.S. Supreme Court on March 3, 2026 may change things for Mr. Kohberger and others who waive appellate rights when entering into plea deals with the government on due process grounds.
