The Oakland A's have picked a site near Laney College as the location for a new ballpark, which they say they'll pay for, but the plan isn't getting the unconditional support of Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf. KCBS, KPIX-5, and Chronicle Insider Phil Matier says this is dropping a ballpark smack in the middle of a vibrant existing neighborhood.
