Dan O'Neill is the fishing manager and guide at Kilkenny's Mount Juliet Estate he was fishing in the estate and noticed a very unusual looking insect which interested him enough that he took a photo of it and posted it.  He was contacted afterwards by an academic expert on insects in UCD who informed him that the insect in question hasn’t been seen in these parts since perhaps the 1940’s.
