How we talk to ourselves in our minds is so important to our well-being, but most of us know this, at least to some extent. Some of us have even developed practices to help reframe the ways we talk to ourselves. But sometimes we don't stop to notice how we talk about ourselves and our lives with others. We can end up creating self-labels that limit and restrict just as much as overtly harsh self-talk in our minds.

Astrology has always been something I've been drawn to, though at varying magnitudes. It has been a mild curiosity, a fun self-exploitation, a low-key-obsessive research endeavor, and now a loose, retrospective algorithm for self reflection. I've found what works for me with Astrology, so I share a little about how I view and work with it these days.

We are conditioned and taught to see the world through the lenses of getting a job to make money so we can "afford to live," then buying things that promise to make us happy with what's left over. And when it all becomes too much, we "escape reality" to spend some extended time in nature. But what even is reality? How did our "reality" come to be and can we change that?

I share a couple of my practices from my "Bag o' Tricks" I developed when I was experiencing the weight of depression. I talk a little about reframing my quirks in ways that benefit me, helping me to appreciate the things I once saw as personal flaws.

Over the past two days, I had two close encounters with spiders so I reflect a little on some of the symbolism around spiders.

I noticed recording from my car seems to be a lot easier than recording in my room. I've been reflecting on why that is and how to transform my spaces to encourage the flow of my creative energy.
