I talk about the book I've been reading these past couple days (it's fiction!), The Midnight Library by Matt Haig (CW: suicide, depression). I offer a reading of the dust jacket and an excerpt I found particularly re-readable and ponderable. What does connection look like? What forms can it take and where can we find it?

What do I really mean when I say "Keep Going?" I've had a lot on my mind, but this keeps resurfacing and connecting itself to many of the things I've been pondering. I meander a bit, but do generally try to stick to a theme of expansive vs contractive feelings when considering our options, with an extra emphasis on 'sometimes to keep going we need to stop doing a thing.' Much love.

A little more energized today, talking about balance, in general, but also touching back on yesterday's topics around energy. I talk a little about what balance is & isn't, and use the energies of doing and being to dive a little deeper.

Today, I show up. 😆 My energy reserves are quite low today, so I'm taking it easy, but I did manage to speak a little on awareness around energy expenditures. 🙂

I caught myself today and late last night sucked back into the world of personal assessments. Feeling excited and seen, I had to take a step back and look at what was really happening here. Today I talk about the relationship between self assessments and our personal power.

I went out into the world today and saw some people, bought some things, sat in a street, and talked at my phone. After recording in an unconventional, rather noisy space (but not too bad actually, I checked 😝), I almost feel like challenging myself to a contest of imperfection. But oh, the excuses a desire to be perfect can concoct.

It's my 30 day review! I reflect on and celebrate how far I've come and what I've learned. Breaking things down to make starting (and continuing) a reality and celebrating even (especially) those tiny steps!

Today brought me a few phone challenges that I'm taking as an opportunity for me to pause and reflect on my relationship with technology as well as the stories I've been telling myself about the tech devices in my little world. Sounds well and good, but I did burn a whole day spinning in old stories & "what ifs" before actually managing to start making that mental shift, real time. I know it's a process though, and this is something I will continue to be aware of and actively practice shifting.
Gratitude App (mentioned in the episode, no affiliation, I just think it's great)

Building foundations has been the name of the game for me for the past year. I am grateful that I had already done some work in the past to create a tool kit for myself that has helped me through many heavy times. I am also grateful for this opportunity to reassess my footing and the ground I have been standing on.

I love me some good trees, and there's nothing like a Coastal Redwood. They're the Hydras of the tree world, resilient, resourceful and long living. They seem to know things other trees and plants don't, and they have a peaceful deep rooted tranquility about them that's damn near palpable.
