I tried writing out an informal list of all the things I've done, accomplished, experienced, tried, researched, etc. herein are my reflections on this exercise from Barbara Sher's book, Refuse To Choose.

Contemplating a little nudge we got from the Universe yesterday about not going out to dinner. Nothing big, but I mean, these things don't always have to be big, you know?

I've been listening to a lot of Dr. Joe Dispenza lately, and I'm sure it shows in this one. I realized some of the things I've been saying about healing for years don't line up with my experiences of healing. It was like I had this idea that healing is this unending process where I would "never be fully healed," but I had these exceptions that I conveniently forgot about where I HAD healed myself of things- things that were even "supposed to be lifelong conditions." Looking at it has been a little baffling that I was able to uphold that limiting belief while also filing away and revering these exceptions, but that's honestly just a testament to the power of the mind...

My practice in gratitude met me in an instant & stopped me in my tracks, breaking an anger spiral with sudden clarity. Most people don't come to a gratitude practice in this way, and I'd like to say that experience catapulted me into a loving, gracious, and grateful experience of life, but it did not. This is because Gratitude is a Practice, it cannot be bestowed upon a person in one miraculous encounter. These profound experiences still matter though, because they can serve to wake us up if we've been unconscious for a very long time.
I share three of my current Gratitude Practices.

I'm working my way back through Barbara Sher's Refuse To Choose, a book on what she calls "Scanners." She gives us a little permission slip and guidebook to breaking down the misconceptions of heaviness and failure around having many interests.
As someone who has never found her interest held by one thing for long, and a chronic 'sufferer' of idea overload, this book really resonated with me. I think I cried the first time I read it...

I share a good deal of my healing journey, the things that helped me, the people who helped me (though intentionally unnamed), and my then-mindsets. I pretty much stopped the story right before I met Matthew though because our story & the healing within that space would have at least doubled the episode length. 😝 Also I think it's important to note where I was at before we found each other. I also touch on the significance of the healing journey amidst our greater Journey to Self.

I have acquired a pink tourmaline point recently on an intuitive impulse and I keep picking it back up. I've been sitting with why my plexus has been asking me to hold onto it when it's so strongly associated with heart energy healing.

Brené Brown's got me thinking about divisiveness again (still slowly rereading Braving the Wilderness), I'd say it's a hot topic these days, but it's something that has echoed through the history of humanity like old traumas resurface throughout a lifetime. The increasing division in our societies is the result of a VERY old evolutionary adaptation, one that now seems to be doing is more harm than good...
