A quick reflection after practicing a loving kindness meditation today for the first time in years...

I return once again to that often dreaded question - it doesn't matter what we've actually been up to or how we actually feel about where we've been putting our energy, this question can send us spinning out of orbit. It can be a huge energy drain, and it's such a socially normalized default question, we can find ourselves quite energetically depleted from this one "simple" question.
