When his parents went to work, he was often left home alone. Going through life, he had a problem with authority even while in the military. Out in the real world, he had issues with seeing something through or he quit all together, but his other biggest challenge, he spoke up even at the inopportune time. But then, God played the best 'gotcha' joke, the apples fall too far from the tree, The sparring session is in session.

His biggest challenges came when he walked out the door and encounter a community riddled with gangs, violence and despair. He lacked focus throughout his entire school career, dealing with tremendous setbacks, bullying, and failures.
